Btw, does anyone have server issues when joining a party of 3 or more? Every time one of us tries to search for a game the server all of a sudden cannot find a single game. However if I leave the group then the issue stops :confused:

I'm on PC and I get this problem. Sometimes it just cannot seem to find a game. I'll try every single map and game type combination and get nothing.

It depends. The first thing they need to do with these expansions is make the maps free for everyone to use. If they don't, then they're shooting themselves in the foot by dividing up the already somewhat dwindling playerbase. On PS4, things are going relatively strong. Playercount is smaller on XBOX One, but it's at a critical state on PC. Next, if they want people to buy the season pass, the price needs to be permanently slashed in half. There is zero justification in paying almost the same price as the base game for just a pass which includes barely anything worthwhile at the moment. Even in other games where there's more content in the base experience, they don't charge players nearly as much. Battlefront is lacking stuff from the beginning, there's no doubting that.

Before they do any of this, they need to give a reason for people to continue playing. That's why games like CoD have prestiges. Once people reach Rank 50, there's nothing for them left to do on the game. Why continue playing?

I've never played CoD before, so could you tell me what awards you got for the Prestige levels? Uncharted 3 had something similar where you could get certain abilities that had negative effects, but gave out higher rewards if used correctly.

Well, I haven't played CoD since Modern Warfare 2. But then they had 10 prestiges, where you basically just restart back at Rank 1 but are Rank 1 Prestige 2. You lose all your weapons and such and have to earn them again. The gain is that you get special camo's for your guns. That's off of memory.

Ok, so that's basically Uncharted 3's equivalent, minus the camos.
 
*Rant Incoming...Again...*

Who on Earth decided how the players should be split on each team? Seriously, I dunno if I'm playing against teams with nothing but friends in a party, or if I'm always placed on a team where the acumulative IQ of my teammates is less than 47.

Played roughly five or so matches of Walmer Assault today, where we onky won one, defending on Tatooine. We somehow managed to lose on the Rebels side on Endor. Endor of all places.

After I couldn't take it anymore, I decided to try Turning Point. Well, apparently my teammates don't understand how to take a 🤬 objective, or protect one for that matter, since we won all but one of those, too.

Out of probably 15 matches tonight, I've only won two. Two! By the way, the match we lost on Endor, I got to play as a hero three times, Luke, Han, Luke, and we still lost.

And don't even get me started on spawining into the game:

*Spawn, Thermal Imploder lands at my feet.* "🤬 MY LIFE!"

I feel your pain, @Leadfoot530. There's tons of problems that need to get fixed, like phantom grenades. For now, try out Blast. Maybe we can play together some time. Do you have a headset?

In other news, I had an amazing time on Blast using the DH-17 for the first time. I was at the top of the leaderboard and the top 4 positions multiple times. It's just a beast at close-quarters combat. It even has range! I just wish the damage didn't drop off so much. Maybe up it a few points for the longer shots you might be pulling. I have to say it was as exciting as the time I dominated with the E-11.
 
Unfortunately that is just part of team based multiplayer games, if you are on a bad team you are going to get smashed. In battlefield we can fix it by scrambling the teams after a round if one team wins by a big margin but since we don't have custom servers in battlefront we can't do this.

I usually just quit and find a new server if my team is completely useless, you can usually tell by checking the scoreboard and half of your team will have K/D's like 0/20 etc :lol:

So the new DLC pack is only going to have 2 new maps, that is so weak it's not funny. Battlefield would always drop 4 new maps with each pack so not sure why they are being so tight with battlefront.

Yep, I have a headset, think I've used it on a few GTA Crew Events a few times. I've always been more of an objective player. To me it's always seemed more..."proper(?)"...to play. Like it felt more natural than just running around a small map killing anythi g you could for points.

At this point, all I want to do is rank up. I'm halfway through rank 39, and once I hit 40, I am SO getting the Scout Trooper armor. :drool:

Me too. I feel that I truly play like a Scout Trooper, sneaking around the edge of the map and going in behind enemy lines. It would only be appropriate to wear their armor.

Incoming mini-rant. All I ever see now is Shadow Troopers using EE-3s with explosive shot. The EE-3 is powerful enough to begin with, and now they're making it even more of a cheese gun with ES. Use something new for once. :banghead: :rolleyes:

Additionally, I wish that we had an actual map to look at. Whenever I spawn inside a corridor on Blast, I have a hard time getting my bearings and run to blast doors that don't open. I love having the radar to point out where enemies are at, but it would be nice to see where I am, and to know if there's eight soldiers in the next room I go into. Yes, that's what Scan Pulse is for, but a BF4 style mini-map and expanded map would greatly benefit players.

EDIT: In more positive news, I bought the Cycler Rifle.

So, remember how I was having a hard time winning matches? Funny story about my daily challenge for today: "Win a match." EA, you sneaky sons of guns. I ended up winning the very first match of Walker Assault I played, and won quite a few more afterwords, so tonight was pretty good.

Finally got the Scout Trooper today, too. God, it looks amazing! Now to pair it with the DH-17 for the accurate look in Return of the Jedi!

I'm loving the DH-17, so combining it with the Scout armor is perfect!
 
Why do I get partnered with the WORST teams no matter the gamemode? Everyone just ignores objectives and runs around trying to get kills. Supremacy is nearly impossible to win because none of my teammates run to the capture points. Cargo is hopeless as well because the team is nowhere near our cargo or the enemy's. Finally, can we STOP changing the damn thread title?

I hate to do that but I don't let my ratio get killed because of some idiots running around and shooting while the other team is having a field day.

On Supremacy, it's pretty dumb not to go for a control point or defend it. That's how you get the most points.

I feel you man. On Cargo, I have to admit I play defense most of the time. The Shock blaster combined with the scan pulse and looking at the radar always puts me in the first three spots if not the first. Yesterday I was playing and ALL of my teammates were down by at least 12 kills each. I bailed and got into another game. More often than not, I have the same issue. I get paired with a bunch of headless chickens that have no idea how to do anything. It's really annoying. But also sometimes satisfying when you single handedly carry the team on your back.

I would just prefer if they all helped out, even if it's more satisfying to win solo. I can't clutch because I'm not that good at shooters, it isn't my play style, and I don't use high-damage items (T-21, Explosive Shot) except for grenades. I would fit more into the role of a Scout Trooper, minus the sniping. Sneaking behind enemy lines (with the Scout trait, obviously) and taking them out one at a time is how I play almost every match.
 
My favorite thing lately: snipe out people that get at the top of the Rebel Depot by that glitch by the pipes.

I shoot at them, they realize their cover is blown, and then I come down immediately only to snipe them again when they get back up there :D.

I know, I'm not helping with the objectives but I just love to bust those guys. It's such a stupid glitch, you can't even shoot people properly when you're up there.

I'm loving the new Endor map, it looks stunning and plays really well too. Looking forward to when they increase the rank cap and hopefully give us a whole bunch of new skins to unlock.
 
So, apparently there will be an exclusive Playstation VR version of Battlefront. I wonder if that means it's a separate game from the regular Battlefront.
 
Just a big piece of advice for fellow Scan Pulse users, your scan does not show up for teammates. Unfortunately, that's always been the case. I figured I was helping my team by sending it out, but according to some posts on Reddit, only you can see enemies with your pulse. If you see enemies highlighted in red, but you haven't scanned, it's from a droid, which your whole team can see.
