You can afford it! It's that same car I started with, Civic Type R (EK) '97.This may not be my starting car if i cant afford it but it definately what i want to start with.
I was VERY pleased to find a little 83' Levin GT-APEX(AE86) in the used car lot for around 14,000.
It now has a stage 2 turbo, close ratio 5 speed, sport suspension, Engine stage 2, and full intake/exhaust.
Blasting through the amateur events with it. Though, I have to grab a big margin in the corners and block like hell on long straits.
i bought a eunos roadster to start with. i hate buying used.
but speaking of which i have a weird question:
****the beginner a-spec races require some classic cars. where on earth am i supposed to buy them??****
Started with a Mini 1.3i '98 in Hawaiian Blue. Spent all night adding extras to it for the rally courses, it's a fantastic little machine - practically a Mini ERA.
Haven't bought anything else yet, I plan on maxing it out with all the modifications available before I do. It's brilliant fun, sounds like a modded Mini and more importantly it drives like a Mini.
It's a shame the body styling can't be changed, or the rims - but on the other hand it's a deceptive looking little thing![]()
