starting car?

I'm changing my answer from earlier. I will have to see what I'm dealing with, probably a used 4 wheel drive thou that way no extra car purchase needed to rally. I keep my first car to the very end : ).

This is my position too. My tendency is to buy Japanese, but it depends on what's available in the used car lot.

In GT4, I bought an MR2 MkI, and my predilection is to get one again, though I am a little leery of fighting the mid-engine chassis. But... yeah, most likely an MR2 again for old time's sake.

I'm really hoping to get a japanese car in my hands. Hopefully a honda civic eg/ek any will do. Maybe even a nissan silvia s13, I like it more than the s15 or a mitsubishi lancer evo or subaru impreza.

Some other cars come to mind aswell like the honda preluder,the nissan skyline r32, mazda rx-7 FC/FD and mazda mx-5.

Yeah Ide like to get a CRX for nostalgia purposes. It was the first car I ever bought in the GT series, it was a dark poo(ish) coloured little thing that handled great, and went like a cracker with a small turbo in it. This car had wwwaaayyyy more longetivity than I was expecting, so hopfully there will be one sitting in the used lot for me when I go to purchase my first car.

If we can carry over the credits we earned in 'Prologue then the sky's the limit for me, i can say for certain though that i'll be buyin a BMW M3 early on for the photo mode alongside racing it.

As for the early races im thinking (if its in the game) either a vauxhall VXR Astra or VW Golf GTI although a rear wheel drive 1 series beemer would be alot of fun too.

Either way im goin to have a ball and am countin down the minutes to it

Nice HPT I've only seen one ever!! I've seen more Lamborghini Diablo's (5) than 22b Impreza's. My least favorite Lamborghini by far (Chrysler ruined it for me) though it's still beautiful.

I'm not to definite on what exactly I want yet. I like being surprised and browsing the vast used car lots like the previous installments (minus gt3).

Most likely I will choose a cheap yet peppy FF hot hatch to get used to the new physics of GT5. Or if possible, maybe a cheap AWD like an old (gen2 or 3) wrx sti or lancer evo (1-3). No rear wheel drive beasts right off the bat.

Any ways this is my previous Gran Turismo 1st car list as my memory serves me.

GT1: NA miata/eunios (sp?)
GT2: Can't remember for the life of me I want to say a Civic hatch?
GT3: PT Cruiser, I know it sucked for the first few days
GT4: '97 Toyota Mr2 N/A (orange)
GT5P: Mk5 VW Gti Candy White (my real car)
