As much as I understand the "exclusivity" behind them, it's just rediculous. People auctioning codes off for hundreds of dollars, having to buy the second "release" of the Japanese signature edition, resorting to game sharing...
Look at Forza: they release an "ultimate edition" for each game to allow everyone to have access to collectors edition or other special cars that they've missed out on.
I have 3 myself including the NASCAR and could care less if they put it up on the marketplace - its just a game for christ's sake. Now if it was a one off Ferrari 250 GTO with a small V16, disk brakes, A/C, and a supercharger - I'd understand.
