can anyone prevent the car from moving and do a burnout? Burnouts are do-able but the car is moving at like 2-5 mph. Anyway around this? I'm just wondering...

I haven't found a way around it yet, although I haven't actively tried to find one.
I should imagine that once you get the brakestand started, steer it into a wall and it should stay put.

I have tried a bit but haven't managed to do it. I used to do massive burnouts in GT3, that was heaps of fun, but I can't do it nearly as well in GT4. I don't think there is a way. :)

brake balance 100% front
lots of power
N1 tyres.

M5 can do a standstill burnout. I've done 'em even without those "upgrades".

Try a fully loaded Speed 12. They tend to burnout in place for about twelve seconds just trying to get rolling!!!

Mine does that with TCS on!👍

full throttle, than squeeze the brakes gradually until the car stops and rw is still rotating. C2 corvett does it good.

Try an FF car. I did it in the Spoon once after playing with the settings, too bad it was during a race. :guilty:

Ok, I found a technique that works for every car. No tune ups necessary, will be happy to post video and method later. It's really hard to time though... But I found a way... =)

Please do, I'm planning to make a replay video for a special occasion and to start it with hefty big burnout would be great. 👍

Speed 12 fully tuned Vs Merc SLR from standstill  the speed 12 ends up with warm tyres before it reaches a decent speed

lamp thanks man good thinking why didn't i think of it oh well good one.

for FF cars just put the e-brake on and throtle the hell out if it..

The Viper GTS will burn out for several seconds if you attempt to just hold the gas all the way down from a standing start. It's stopping it that's the trick. :dopey:

whats the point really ?? it doesnt leave any marks on the road...

forza is fun for burnouts (even the original need for speed) but GT4 it dont get me exited when there is a little smoke and a heap of annoying noise..

It's still fun for some people who are able to do it. It's fun trying to do it.

You forgot glowing brake rotors.....

Dammit, I got the video of my burnouts but I don't have a host. Yes I have yellow burning brake rotors too haha.

Just hit reverse for a few seconds, until you got some speed backwards, then hit the gas and slowely put on some brakes... then youve got yourself a standing-still burnout..

Nah seriously try to max the camber on the wheels your trying to spin, tune the car to max BHP, stiffen the suspension as much as possible, fit N1 tyres and turn off TCS

How's this?

Thats cool but check this out:

The cars movin though :O (but very slowly)

Yeah, well, mine was a standing burnout and your car was moving. :) Though I much prefer your car over a Ford Lightning any day of the week. :sly:
