PRACTICE ROOM OPEN

AT 18.40 UK TIME ALL DRIVERS ARE ASKED
TO RESTART THEIR PSNS AND ROUTERS
TO CLEAR CASH
AND JOIN NEW RACE ROOM AND NOT LEAVE UNTIL AFTER THE RACE .

A very eventful race and a couple of unfortunate disconnections. But let's look on the bright side - 16 cars were entered in the lobby when we launched the race! And a 17th joined us about half an hour in: @mrracingline

It's going to be a lonely race for me in Spa, starting in Group 3. I really enjoyed this one. The pace of Group 4 was very high, with @erdink leading the way for a long time and @GTsail290 catching us up towards the end.

Group 3 were bearing down on Group 4 and narrowly missed making the junction.

2 stops was definitely the only strategy for me. But a couple of brave souls again did their best to stretch out a 1 stop.

I was enjoying my catch up until the game decided it didn't want me to race. @Daniel199025 I was right behind you and bearing down to take 11th place off you. ;)

What I am curious about though, is what happened between GTB2012 and @DrAug . Aug never quits a race even if he's been held up, he keeps going because that's the racer he is! So GTB must have done something pretty hard to him to persuade him to quit.

Aug and Rich, i am so sorry, i really didnt know what to do.

At the race start i only told G5 to ensure to let G1 unlap, but GTB was in G4 and either may not have realised or had names turned off, either way i should have told G4 about g1 unlapping but i didnt.

However GTB was rude calling names when you were only explaining the situation Aug.
It was a miracle we all got off the grid with 16 and i was very reluctant to restart knowing the issues that may have been.

I can only apologise, as i feel it my responsabilty to ensure all are aware of the unlapping rules.

For Richie, i have no idea with you either, as there were a few in the room that could not see everyone i know, but ideally i say its best just to carry on and deal with it after the race.

I know in the heat of battle thats not easy, but i am sure we would never had got going again if we restarted.
So i do think probably most were looking to me for a decsion on what to do.

I had had a bump on lap 1 from behind that spun me into the barriers, just a racing incidnt on lap 1 with all G4 bunched together, but restarting the race i felt was the wrong decision.

Star, once again sadly you dc, such a shame.

:gtpflag:Well done to Ben for winning:gtpflag:
all that practice paid off.

Congratulations @BenMillard !! Well done!!👍

I was giving chase all race long and spent nearly the entire race between 10-15 seconds from either yourself or erdink, but I could never shrink the gap, it was all I could do to hold on by my fingernails in your wake, in the hope that one of you would eventually slow down or take an extra pit-stop or hit an invisible wall (though that's something that I'm more likely to do than either of you), but no such luck!:irked::D

In regard to the contact between @GTB2012GT3 and @DrAug , I think its possible that GTB didn't know it was DrAug who was trying to get past. I had been hounding GTB for a lap or two, and had made a couple of attempts to get past, and then we were caught by DrAug who had come up to un-lap himself. I let DrAug past as we went thru the 2nd hairpin (not that I could have stayed in front of him if I had wanted to:grumpy::ill::bowdown:) and then DrAug tried to get past GTB going thru the next left-hander and they had contact and DrAug's car smacked the left-side Armco and suffered severe damage, and then had to limp into the pits. I imagine that once DrAug pulled into the pits, his pit-crew took a look at his car and they shook their heads and pulled the plug!;):ouch::D

:cheers:GTsail

Specs are 465 BHP max 588PP
Specs are Tuning, stage 3 generally but NO turbo.
Without oil change this should give 586pp when the power slider is moved to 465 BHP
with oil change this will give 588pp when the power slider is moved to 465 BHP

However once you do an oil change you will drop bhp during the course of a 90 minute race and will continually need to
make oil changes.
Keeping the oil in the car when it comes new may be 2 or 3 less pp for the same bhp, but the bhp will not drop for 20000 km.
