that kinda makes sense... crossover games simply dont play like a single non-crossover fighting game. There's all these assists and chainable supers and special ways to get peopel to assist and air combos and stuff.

I wasn't expecting an FA system to be implemented at all, when I hear about Crossover titles, all that reminds me of is fast-paced chainable normals into launchers into air raids or air supers etc. it's all flashy and doesn't play like any other.

I know that you get your info from Srk. Tekken Tag 2 will probably be the earliest engine we get of Tekken vs Street fighter ( IMO). I wonder if they will take something from the TVC engine.
I rather see it in Tekken's graphics engine not SF's.
Harada-san hasn't tweet Ono-san or any of SRkers has posted on that. I often check TekkenZaibatsu for info but nothing. Shoryuken even gets Arksys work and Tecmo news from time to time.
 
They might take one or 2 things from TVC, maybe not baroque, but probably the 3 button attack and one button assist.
 
I am expecting that they will have the original button layout with the option of putting "tag" ( probably like a MP+MK, if they ever choose to take out FADC system.)
 
i didn't like how they had to illustrate DHCs twice, because I don't know if it was the only option.

I mean look at Kazuya when he does his ultra it required an assist for it to happen, and not only that, it required Nina because she's the only person who performs that style of combat.

That or maybe it's possible to implement character specific assist ultras...Though that would severely offset the balance and then best characters would revolve around who's got the better character specific assist ultras.

I wonder if they may have different combinations because in TT, Kazuya could be paired with Jun,Jin,Devil, and Hei. Though he was the only condition. ( I think it was JUN)

Just a couple quick blurbs here this morning. Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada tweeted letting everyone know that Nina and Anna Williams would indeed be playable in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. They've boasted already that TTT2 will have the largest playable cast in the series to date, so seeing mainstays like Nina and Anna should be no surprise.

Street Fighter series Producer Yoshinori Ono tweeted a small image of in-development Street Fighter x Tekken. It isn't much, but when they announce a project like that and starve you for news for months and months, you start to grasp at straws. Is this Ryu in the picture, or is it someone else?
Ono-san and Harada-san are trolling yet again!
 
They are just giving us updates though they are more focused on MVC3, Tekken Tag, SSFIV 3D and 3S online.
 
thats good. there's probably more work right there than they can handle.

Can't wait for MVC3 Evo streams ;) it's going to look great.
 
I am not looking forward towards Evo online since its not going to be like SBO. Where we can count on lag not like in Japan where every online gameplay is lagless...
 
I think it would be wise if whoever was responsible for the stream that they set up a recording system that sits between the camera and the internet... that way they can upload that for flawless quality while streamers can watch it live. If I wanted to rewatch a match all i find are stream records...
 
Honestly, I don't care much for the game since it won't be anytime soon as to when I will play the game.

All I really want is 2D sprites for SFxT, and 3D models for TxSF...
Or really just some new character style, rather than using the SSF4 style of character models.

Oh, and keep the game nice and balanced.
No Vanilla Sagat for me thanks.
 
Sagat's top tier rank never changed from Vanilla to Super. Though Tier characters don't count. I wanted sprites to come back in Vanilla but I have grown towards the new look. I am happy that KOF stuck with its 2d roots.
 
I actually don't like 2d sprites on a ps3 anymore... After trying out HDR, I was pretty sold on the idea that SF looks great in 2.5D, and it should stay that way, while if you wanted 2d sprites, go play older games... I actually like the 8-bit pixelated sprites in SF2 more than the vector sprites in HDR... it just reminds me of a flash game, which I'm not a particular fan of considering that it's on a ps3 for crying out loud.
 
I hope sprites are here to stay personally. 2.5D is nice but I prefer having my 2D fighters actually be in 2D. Street Fighter uses 2.5D well (though i think the art style is super ugly), but when I boot up games that are still 2D like Blazblue it just feels more "right" to me for some reason.
 
No doubt, SSF4 looks nice...but I want the characters to have a fresh, new look in SFxT. Then again, they did use Alpha sprites and such in MvC...

Oh well,
2D, 2.5D or 3D...I'll still be playing. :D

Saw it earlier today at SRK, Capcom is a goofball if they put Sakura as DLC... granted she's popular in Japan, she's not THAT popular compared to some other characters.

We get Karin back from Alpha <3 I think the rivalry of Sakura and Karin is like Nina's and Anna's...just less seductive...
 
I wonder why Karin is so popular. All I know of her is that she's a spoiled brat who cheated in the hot-dog eating contest in the Sakura Legends Comic.
 
I can understand why she'd be in this game now.

I wonder how I can translate tatsu loops into wicked juggles for TxSF
 
Aside from the juggles, I think its the rivalry between her and Sakura. Ibuki doesn't have a rivarly but with Makoto.
