So the game comes out tonight in the U.K, but the 55 quid price has me a little stuck. I can't help but wonder If I should wait for a price drop.

Can you guys help me out? Can you tell me if much has changed from dirt rally, and what has? And is it worth justifying the purchase of it on top of dirt rally?
Greenmangaming and cdkeys are selling preorder keys at discounts. Pretty sure they're legitimate, unlike G2A's.

Unrelated, it releases in 4 hours. :D

On the subject of DLC locations, I think the top of my wishlist is tarmac rallying in Japan like CMR3 and CMR04...or a similarly green and wet Germany/France. Procedurally generated touge would be quite a winning feature. :)

For the sake of surface variety, I can only hope they bring back Malaysia or Indonesia.

£55 in GAME. Didn't bother pre-ordering through them again partly due to online retailers having the Day One edition pegged at around £40, and mainly because GAME have a 100% record of failing to deliver games whatsoever when I've ordered through them in the past. Tesco also have the steelbook version for £45.

More content here than in DR which did set me back £55. I'd be shocked if this didn't offer a better return on investment.

It's also 55 on ps store sadly, I like having digital. I will probably end up hitting that pre order button as dirt rally is great

Japan is high up on the list for me.

You know what would be better though?

Malaysia or Indonesia. I'm sick and tired of seeing the same dusty / forest setting, give me some jungle action.

I checked the Dirt 4 Steam page earlier today and it said June 9th. I checked again and now it's in 3 hours.

Really enjoying the game so far, however the game can't seem to recognise my TH8A when in sequential mode. Has anyone got a solution?! Thanks a lot

I have played a few hours and do far I love it, getting so sucked in you just hear the pace notes and the track ahead. One thing that I didn't like was the fog on a michigan stage was ridiculous! I literally could not see more than 5 meters in front of me for about half the stage.

Got the game yesterday, Codemasters has never ceased to amaze me with their games over the past 3 years. They've gone from poor games like Grid 2, DiRT Showdown, F1 2012, F1 Racestars, etc to the masterpieces of DiRT Rally, F1 2015/16, and now DiRT 4. The graphics, sound, handling, and immersion of this game are outstanding . Currently I'm doing the monthly series, I think it has all of the circuits at full length, 12 events/stages total. It also pays out a ton (~1 million credits for the top group of players) and gives out a gold trophy for PSN at the end.

My PS4 copy arrived today, having an absolute blast with the game. I used the DFGT with a GIMX adapter on DiRT Rally and the wheel was very twitchy. But in this game, the wheel feels very smooth, even on simulation mode. Codies have done a good job!

Just started playing 20 minutes ago. Might be too early to ask, but does anyone have some tentative force feedback settings? The default are not too bad on my T150 but definitely needs some fine tuning. Haven't played Dirt Rally in some months so can't remember if it had as many settings.

Glad to see more folks enjoying D4
PC fellas your time is nigh!

Got into a random multiplayer lobby earlier which was the badarse RX cars, haven't had that much online fun in a while - the new RX physics are phenomenal

If it is like dirt rally.. you need to direct connect it to the PS4 with a USB cable.

Ditto, but I hope it's done better than Spain is in this game. Although I love the idea of a good tarmac rally, it's easily my least favorite in Dirt 4. The road width and tarmac quality never seems to change, so everything ends up feeling very samey and dull. Same goes for the lack of trackside scenery aside from a guardrail here and there. It almost reminds me of the stage editor in V-Rally from way back in the day.

FWIW I don't get this feeling as much from other locations. Loving Wales so far because of the progression from hilltops to deep, lush forests. But that seems to be more of an outlier.

I finally have had some time to play it and while I've only done the first couple career races I have to say it feels really good with a controller.

I have found one thing that sucks though, my skills at driving a rally car.

Edit: One thing in the game that actually sucks is the menu music, thankfully that is easily remedied though.

Who has tried the little Crosskart buggies yet? I find them damn near impossible to drive, I wanna know if its just me. You really need to take corners carefully or else you'll spin very, very easily. It's very frustrating.

6th out of the 94 that have gotten to stage 11 of the monthly event rally. I don't know how only 5 people finished ahead of me, I flew into the trees and also flipped .

I used to dominate with the Group B cars. Now I can't even keep them straight. I guess I need more time.

PC performance is a bit iffy at the moment, but overall, what an upgrade from Dirt Rally. Looks like my next weekend and beyond is booked. :D

What do the shields next to names on the leaderboards mean?

Also, it would be nice if we could replay a community event with the times just not counting after the first run.

According to Steam I already have 3 hours in the game. Some things I noticed that I haven't hear other people talk about: If you crash a bit, the radio with the co-driver starts to break so sometimes it'll just be static and the pace-notes on screen is a red question mark. On the Spain stages, sometimes you'll go through a small city and the roads narrow, the turns are 90 degrees, and there's even cobblestone! Don't forget to check your facilities, because there are two free ones (I think that was part of the pre-order bonus, I'm not sure).

Everyone who preordered the game digitaly has this shield, is some kind of vip thing.

Are the shift lights broken on the WRX NR4? The lights turn red at around 6.5k rpm while redline is like 3k more.

I seem to be having a much different experience than everyone else. After getting hyped up about this game I finish my first 2 hours frustrated and disappointed. I don't know the details about what they changed from Dirt Rally, but I'm seriously unimpressed with the handling. Under braking the cars either don't slow at all, or lock the rears and spin despite having full front bias. And if you're not on throttle mid corner the rear comes around on you with no chance of recovery. It was so bad I booted up Dirt Rally again and ran a couple stages to make sure my wheel didn't have a problem. Rally also runs much better on my laptop despite being on higher settings. I'll give 4 another shot tomorrow, but the first impression isn't good.
