@GOTMAXPOWER It looks like they crashed a few times I haven't found it yet but I read a few pages back you can read what happened to them after the race and others have had this 30sec time difference. 👍 Maybe you are too fast for them, I have seen your rapid times 👍

You're too kind It can't be me being fast because of how big the difference between wet and dry is, I was curious whether they had crashed or had mechanical problems but the stage notes showed nothing.

btw I'm rubbish but have good fully upgraded cars on events that not many people have entered.

I do take my initial comments back a little about the graphics, I came across this Combo in Spain/Audi Quattro S1 with the sky and car it was stunning. Also some of the Landrush/Rally X races lighting in late afternoon/cloudy/light rain/sun are really good. If anything they really got the lighting right. (Full size and other screenshots/photos in photo thread!) 👍

Great, now I can't post a time for one of the weekly community events due to the game crashing. It happened just as I was attempting to load leaderboard times AFTER completing the 4th stage. Pretty annoyed the game decided to disqualify me even though I finished the stage I was on.

If this happens during the monthly event, the the Hydraulic Press Channel better check their fan mail...

It is really nice to play but I have my doubts about YourStage and the tarmac physics in rally. On gravel the cars feels weighty but on tarmac it is floaty, skittish and the cars drive like they have no weight. I hope this will be further finetuned. Career has been a real pleasure so far. Have done rally for the most part. The landrush stuff is terrible. Don't like it at all and I will only do the nessecary to advance in career. Menus are cluttered and not very intuative. I prefered the dry setup from DR.

My second complaint is YourStage. Yes, the stages generated are nice and it is easy to get into a flow but really nothing stands out. Very generic stuff in career and it loses on all sides against the handcrafted thrilling stages of DR. I'll take the limit of handcrafted stages over the generousity of YourStage anytime. I can appreciate the idea behind the whole YourStage but it needs work, a lot of work!

Most important however is that I am enjoying myself a lot and I surely need to give it a couple of days or another week before I can confirm my experience of today.

Camera movement during replay is gone which limits when taking screenshots. I hope a kind of freecam will be added

Unlocked Landrush and bought a used Crosskart since I couldn't afford the big buggies. Biiiig mistake. These karts are the twitchiest little 🤬 I've driven and are really prone to spinning out under hard braking. But I shall persevere until I can unlock Rallycross.

The R2 rally cars like my Fiesta are really great fun to drive on the stages.

Move your brake bias to the front (70-75%) on the Crosskart, it makes a world of difference.

Also, the RWD physics is just absolutely disappointing. I tried the Escort and it could only understeer. No matter what I did, I just couldn't get it to oversteer. It felt like a FWD car.

Be careful--I've had the game count those as "vehicle recoveries" when tallying sponsor objectives.

Also, the RWD physics is just absolutely disappointing. I tried the Escort and it could only understeer. No matter what I did, I just couldn't get it to oversteer. It felt like a FWD car.

There are physics issues with many cars and the default setups are understeery. Move brake bias back, stiffen the rear anti-roll bar and soften the rear suspension for RWD. And for 4WD move the torque bias all the way to the back as well.

Not for certain if it was wolves but ive had animals of some sort cross the road in michigan on more than one occasion.


Also in other news -- I WON THE FIA RALLYCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP!

I'm glad I'm not the only one let down by the graphics on the PS4 Pro. I bought a Pro on Sunday and Dirt 4 was the first game I planned to play once I got it all setup. Having played it on Saturday on my regular PS4, I was ready for a big improvement but I was left pretty disappointed. I even began to question whether my TV is 4K or not!

It seems there's still confusion with the pro. It's not necessarily a 4k console. Iirc I remember reading dirt 4 didn't have a 4k mode anyway it's just a graphics boost.

I agree, I think just about anything except for noon lighting looks great. I'm impressed with the clouds when the sun is near the horizon, almost as good as PCARS.

The physics are very different from car to car, if you haven't tried other RWDs yet. The M3 likes to drift, the Stratos rotates easily, and the A110 is very wild with its default tune. I don't understand why the handling is so different on various cars; it ranges from sim-ish to completely arcade-style.

That's good to hear. I'll definitely try the other ones, but the Escort definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.

I didn't plan on completing it today but today's owners club challenge required the Delta and I couldn't use it until I finished the monthly.

I was struggling to get the 65 meters long distance jump trophy.

I just got it today on the owner's club event in sweden. Massive jump but right afterwards we have a left 3, i managed to save it beautifully. I'll try to make a video of it in normal speed and slow motion.

Had some much more positive stages within the careermode today but it is really hit and miss!

Example careerstages available in freemode:

Superb: Spain, Vinedo Els Reguers
Failure: Australia, Sawtell Wood Advent

It's a 4K-capable console. As far as I know, every AAA title released this year has had 2K, 3K or 4K support on the Pro, which makes Codemasters look like the lazy unprofessional studio I am beginning to suspect they are, given all the backward steps they took with this game and all the unfixed bugs and questionable design decisions in past titles.

The graphics "boost" you mention is improved AA and a more stable framerate. Very, VERY weak Pro implementation IMO and not worthy of the "Pro Enhanced" label on the box. On top of that, besides the nice lighting engine, the game looks terrible.

Codies mentioned that they "might look into" HDR in the future (although that also works on vanilla PS4).

It's hard to believe that a AAA game like this was released in June 2017 with next to zero pro support.

4K on PC and 1080p on PS4 Pro? Pathetic...

Didn't think it was possible in rally with the lack of jumps. I got it in Landrush.

I actually started playing it after this owner's club event, and jesus cristo the AI is making my blood boil. Jesus theyre a disgrace. Stop spinning me around!

I really hate landrush. Can't wait to finish it on career and never touch it again
