These photos were taken maybe half an hour from me. Might have to have a drive up there myself one day.
 
Due to the fact that they only came as stainless steel bodies, I think painted DeLoreans look much better than their stainless counterparts, probably due to the mismatch with the factory bumper color. Also since they only came as stainless, I would consider painting to be a modification.

Painted DeLoreans are outstanding. I need to imagine that a painted one probably draws less of a crowd than the original stainless, too.

I get a lot more Deluxo vibes from Vice City with them being painted.
 
I know this isn't so much a "modification" as a "required conversion for export lighting regulations" change:

But I think this looks better than a standard C4 rear end. It looks very Italian, I think. Don't think a similar look would translate to the post-ZR1 car at all, though.
 
This mod is making me look at this car in a different light than before. It wasn't bad at all before, but the widebody kit (courtesy of Artisan Spirits) does a wonder on it's stance.
