Quick update on getting my Gallardo postcard. All I had to do was ask about it, he asked for my name and number to make sure I had preordered it already and gave it to me.

If anyone here wins the Gallardo we better meet up so you can give us rides! :D

Heather and I pre-ordered Test drive unlimited for $39.95. Yes the rumor is true it is only $39.95. :sly:

No, theres a large support for online play, but you can play through the entire game offline if you don't have a decent internet conenction or XBL Gold. I think I'll be opting for the PC version, you still get onine, but it's £15 cheaper.

This game is only $39.99 for the xbox360. I doubt the PC version is cheaper than that. Heather and I already reserved 2 copies of TDU. http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?cookie_test=1&product_id=200120
Is TDU even available for the PC?

I would think you'd be more interested in the Hawaii for 2 prize.:sly:

Yes it's coming out for the PC a well, over here the PC version is £25 on Amazon that's about $40USD, the XB360 version is £39.99 (standard XB360 game price) which is about $70USD, so yes, the PC version is about $30USD cheaper than the XB360 version for me.

The good thing about the PC version is that it probably wont have any slow downs in frame rate and the graphics will definetly be better. So far I have noticed the 360 is not as good as a high end pc. Its still a great system just not up to PC standards yet.
Regardless I will be buying everything I can for the 360 instead of the pc. Mainly for the achievements and I can play games easier on the console.

Remember the only way PC's can get 360 graphics is if it has a DX10 graphics card. So I reckon TDU will be using all 3 cores of the CPU well, and it is most likely going to use the 360's graphics well, which means better graphics then the PC most likely.

I have played a few game like Prey and King Kong on my PC and on the 360 and they both performed and looked better on my PC. I still love the 360 but in my opinion it is not as good as my PC.

According to some statements I've read, that's because they're ports.

But remember Prey must have not used the cores right, and if it used the graphics power more it would of ran smoother. However, over time they find ways of using the power more and more.

But Camaro, if you're current PC played either Halo 3 or Halo 2, then it would not be able to play either of those games.

I would rather win the Gallardo, so I can sell it, buy as many Hawaii vacations as I want, buy a Dodge Charger SRT8, and a BMW 3-series, and put the rest of the money as a down payment for a house.

I would also sell it if I won it. Cant even imagine the insurance on something like that. Just would not be worth having. I cant say I wouldnt take it for a ride a few times and get some great video. But I would not keep it. Like Duck said I would pay off bills, go on a vacation and buy a really nice car. As we all know it will never happen.

The graphics will be taking a back seat for me, the big plus I can use my DFP on the PC version, the £15 cheaper was just the final thing I needed to decide which version I'd get. But my PC is capable of some pretty damn good graphics, better than XB360, I don't think mine can quite match the XB360. But it's not that far off either.

L4S, better than the 360 but can't quite match the 360? ;)

If I won the Gallardo I'd drive it around for a little while (when else are you going to own a Lamborghini anyways?) then sell it. I'd use the money for a few mods for my car, buy a Solstice GXP or maybe a LS7 powered Malett Solstice, and a Subaru Legacy 2.5GT Spec.B.

Eh! I think my PC is better than the 360, it's capable of pushing a hell of a lot, I've had Flashpoing runing smooth with 600+ soldiers on screen. But I don't think it can match the 360's graphical effects. But when it's close it's hard to compare when it's not a game that's ported from one to the other, and ports gereally are designed more for one than the other, so are compromised on one.

Oh, I misunderstood you before. I thought you were saying that your PC produces better graphics than the 360 but can't quite match the graphics of the 360. :P

About the Gallardo, the MSRP is $165,000 and according to lambocars (in 2003), Gallardos resold for $10-15K over MSRP.

Especially with no more than the dealer mileage.

I guess that's one of the few cases where the car value increases after you drive it off the lot.

It's all about supply and demand, as soon as the waiting list dissapears or shortens to a more agreeable level, people that have lots of money and really want one now will be willing to pay more to get one asap.

I reckon some people will just sell the Gallardo Coupe at the start, when using there code. But I will not, because once its sold, you're most likely never going to be able to buy it again.

Unless someone does some type of glitch, which allows then to keep getting it in the game after selling it?

Which would mean, them selling another of the Gallardo Coupe over and over?

They're talking about the prize draw in america for a real Gallardo, not the one in the game.

why should you never get to buy it again?
