I'm glad they really made some cars hard to drive. The Caterham spins really easily at speed and the ME 412 Concept Car will spin all fours at 130mph. Very nice! Too bad you didn't get to keep the rental car at your house after you bought your first car.
 
I have to say, reading all this positive info about the game makes me want to go and buy it tomorrow, but I think I'll keep to my original plan and buy it for the PC, save a bit of cash, and be able to use my DFP. Ah what the heck, I'll see how I feel about it tomorrow.

Does anyone know where the tunnel is that's been in a few screenshots?

edit: Once you reach Expert level you get a message saying that you are now allowed to access the Ford race track.

I loaded my game today and it started me all over again. Yes I hit the continue button. Now I have to start all over again. :ouch: :ouch: :ouch:

I've seen a few tunnels in fact, but I don't remember where they are. But they're hyped up.
 
Did any US people on my friends list compare there TDU achievement scores to mine, because I am ahead of Camaro lol. Oh and I have passed a $1 million in my credits.
 
Just a quick question. If you start the game offline and buy houses, cars etc can those be used on the online side of the game. So basically if I buy a house offline, can I then use that online?
 
i was very disapointed when i went to the SALEEN dealer and there were no mustangs forsale, the car list shows 6 different versions.


yesterday i was driving my convertable mustang around and finally found the upgrade shop that accepts ford. inside there are 2 options to choose from FORD & SALEEN, i clicked on SALEEN and i was very excited when i saw that you can convert your mustangs to SALEEN S281's !!! its not just a conversion either, it changes the body kits, wheels, badges, windshield sticker, interior, and engine !!!

Too bad - That must be very annoying !!

Im kind of stuck with a couple of things.

I can't seem to find ANY of the tuning shops.

I can't find ANY of the delivery challenges you are all writing about where you get cash for delivering a car.

I did find a courier challenge where I got 40K for delivering a package.

I am also struggling with the speed camera average challenge on the far right of the island - Do I need to get an average of the target time over all 5 cameras?

Also I am only at the 3rd stage (rookie pro etc....) but there seems to be very few blue single payer races to do, when I reach the next level up do more races appear?

At the moment Im absolutely baffled how I could reach anything near 1million credits !!!

Of course your ahead of me. My game never saved so I lost everything. Did you read the #1148 post above. :ouch: :grumpy:
Bigjames. Check your filters. It sounds like you might have some of them turned off or you havent driven around the island enough to unlock more missions.
 
Can't wait to get stuck into this game later on. Anyone have the answer to my question a few posts up?

Later on in the game there are races which reward you with 150,000 and up if you win.

How is everyone finding online play at the moment? Is there much lag? Many head to head races going on?
 
Should the tuning shops be there right from the start of the game or do you have to reach a certain level to be able to use them. I have the map and have gone to their locations but can't see them? I want a big whale tail and sparks to come out the back of the car !!!

Well, I've been in the Instant Challenges (where you challenge another guy), and there was no lag, but I haven't competed in any real online races at all.
 
So should we start a GTP club on TDU?

I dont mind starting one, I think it costs £500,000 ??

I reckon we should have GTP :UK and GTP :US. Just due to the big time difference involved?

Would anyone be interested - no point in starting one up and having no-one in it ! I think there are a couple of achievements for inter-club races that we could do

Sounds like a plan. I'm hopefully going to get a solid 6 hours gaming in tonight. Is there a limit on how many people you can have in a club?

Not sure mate - I'll crack on and get the GTP :UK club up and running tonight - Should be about 11ish when its done, I'll call it GTP :UK.

Im planning on staying up very very late tonight - I did until half 2 am last night, but I had to get up for work, it could be closer to 4am tonight !!!
 
I have a feeling I might be up until at least 3:00AM. I am not sure yet but thats my plan. Since I lost all my other stuff from the first game, I really need to make up for that lost time any chance I get.

It released here on the 8th - Therefore it should be delivered on the 8th, I don't think they'll deliver it tomorrow

My apologies to TVR&Ferrari fan for this post - I did indeed receive my copy on the 7th, when I kind of had a go about it not being delivered then ! Sorry !
