Does anyone on this site live in Hawaii? How cool would that be to see a game based on where you live!:D

Ebiggs
I remember somebody saying that their house wasn't there, Camaro.
I wonder if just the commercial and industrial buildings are all close to accurate. It would be cool if someone from Hawaii could take a pic then post the similar pic from the game. Or even park their car and take pics from the same angle of the game and compare. I think that would be pretty cool. I can see mabey not putting all the residential homes in a game. Thats just too personal.

The devs said they were only putting in the major cities and some of the smaller ones, too much work in the time they have to do so. Also there is a house that has been left out that was part of a major tv show and one of the devs is determined to get it included.

we selected the roads we wanted to only keep roughly 1000 miles (a bit more in fact.. around 1063).
That means that plenty of the street in town (mostly deadends) were cut off.
And because we wanted to release the game in less than 5 years, we decided to only have city around our roads.
So yes, cities are smaller in the game than in real life.
Also, cities are not the funniest place to race. I mean, every other car racing game *think* they are cool of offering races in city.. Yeah.. whatever.. sure, it's way easier to have 90°angle streets, high occluding building to hide the fact that there is nothing behind them or that the rest of the track is still loading and poping
We wanted freedom.. we wanted to race outside cities. We wanted to take advantage of having OPEN ROADS in a HUGE world without hidden walls preventing the player to drive where he wants.
But it's up to you. If you want a car racing game with walls everywhere to prevent you to exit the road (those walls are also here to protect the cheering crowd.. without those protection, most of the car manufacturer forbid pedestrian *sigh*)

"(those walls are also here to protect the cheering crowd.. without those protection, most of the car manufacturer forbid pedestrian *sigh*)"

What is that supposed to mean? I didn't think the races would have guardrails and stuff with crowds?

I cant wait for this game to come out! I've played the demo and it looks like its going to be amazing. The garages, the races, the cars, the graphics and the sound. Theres meant to be bikes and you're meant to be able to get your own clothes. Its the sims and and a racing game all in one :D

In the demo , when driving with the cockpit view, do gauges on dash all operate or atleast the tach and speedo ? Im sure they do but I wonder....

Not that I'm expecting high level of driving physics from this game but how are they?
Not to sound mean but you really should at least read through some of this thread before posting. THere are pictures and even videos of actual game play.
Here are some great videos that one of the members posted of his actual game play. _aj also takes requests if you ask nicely. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=82883

Ok, thanks. As for the handling physics , they can only really be felt out by the playing the game/demo. This was my last question.

Mazda:
~MX-5 Miata
~RX-8

I agree though, there isn't many. It makes a difference from Gran Turismo, though.;)

After seeing some of these car interiors there is no excuse for pd to not atleast equal this level of detail. They look pretty damn good :scared:

Saw it in the first post... well I hope that they include some more japanese cars, I mean I'll buy it anyway, but I guess I'm a bit spoiled by GT and other japanese racing games... That ruined my PGR3 experience... I just didn't like all those supersport cars... nah we'll see and then there is also the downloadfeature in midterm....

There the obligatory Skyline R34 GTR in there too along with the 350Z.

There is also the unknown Infiniti (probably a G35, but we may get an M) and the Nismo 350Z.

I like the physics with driving aids off. There is a pretty good balance of realism with a bit of arcade. It doesn't really compare to any games I can think of, but it is realistic enough to make the driving believable (read: you have to use brakes!) but is laid back enough that it is pretty easy to handle.

Edit: Whoops..I didn't mean to double post.

Thanks:tup:

Im not expecting the handling to be completely realistic, but if its solid enough to back up the visuals Ill be very impressed...
