Whilst boredome kicked in at work this evening, I thought how funny it would have been, if you could have flung a token surfboard into your open-top car or strapped one to the roof as you drove around. Not very 'racy' but it would be ideal for when cruising. The SSR and a 'board would look sweet.

I also thought bicycles would have been a nice inclusion.

Maybe in TDU2?

Actually where could they set a sequel?

My vote goes to the whole of the main Japanese island (pardon my ignorance, I did once know it, but that was about 6-years ago in school)

Nope, it's Honshu. Hokkaido is the second biggest one, up in the North.
Well I do not want to dissapoint you, but Honshu is ehm, quite big...
almost 89000 square miles (230000 square km )... We'll need at least a Xbox720 or Xbox1440, 10 years time and about 2000 programmers at Atari....

I would, however, appreciate a part of Japan. Maybe just a part of Honshu including Tokyo ( or parts of it ) and maybe the Fuji-Izu-Hakone area and Nikko incl a part of the japanese alps...
 
Finally beat the single player last night and unlocked the Chrysler concept car. Beat every mission in the game including races, models, hitch hikers, couriers, timed mission, and vehicle transports. 77 hours of gameplay!!! Now I have about 95/100 roads then I will get that achievement. I also have around 3900/5000 miles. 👍

Good work. I'm still only about 37% complete. I still have loads of races to do, I haven't done many of the hitch hikers missions yet either. I only get about 2 hours in a night.
 
GJ Camaro I can see you hit the races first with your miles, I've hardly done any races but I've still done over 4000 miles and I am 98% on the roads just by cruising about. I've still got 80 races to do and another 30 hitchhikers and 10 transports but I am enjoying the game too much to go after those achievements, I'm a champion now, money is easy to acquire and driving the cars and bikes long distances is great fun especially with others. When I can be bothered I'll go for the other achievments but as of right now I'm not bothered about them.

Guessing your close to Ace then ?

You cant hit ace unless you get 1000/1000 GS. So I probably will never be ace because I wont even try for the drive in challenges because of the cheaters. Ace doesnt get you anything anyway.
I will be able to cruise with you very soon after I unlock all the roads. 👍 I have been ignoring almost everyone so I could get through the single player. Now I can finally relax and enjoy the beautiful island. Just need those roads. I will probably get them in about 3-4 more hours of game play.
 
Got the explorer a couple of hours ago, btw 2% of roads is 128miles according to my MV Augusta. lol

Doing the car deliveries now to get whatever extra I get for that, never realised I'd done so many, I had 23 before I started, I just did my 27th there. Wit till you get the Shelby Cobra Concept, it's 25+ miles !!!! Never perfect it, AI car hit me at 10miles and I just went screw it continue.

Onto the Murcielago now.
 
Cool :) Im trying to get that ach' but I only discover a few roads, then I get bored. What is a good car for cruising around the island?

I personally prefer the Ford GT, mainly because of its sound :drool:
 
I use the CLS55 AMG and Camaro Eden/ATARI are one of the best developers for feedback, latest about the Diners:

Drive-in problems

There were issues with the drive-ins: players could do high-scores with cars that were not allowed in the challenge, and we could sometimes see some unrealistic scores (like 6 seconds for a 3 minutes challenges).

These issues have all been fixed through the server. It is no longer possible to do high scores with not permitted car and to do unrealistic scores in custom challenges.

There are still issues in the high scores of regular races / speed challenges. We are doing our best to fix them as soon as possible.

Your right diab most people dont realize the number of roads 99/100 is actually the percentage. So even when your on 99/100 you still have at least an hour or 2 of finding roads.

When I cruise around unlocking roads I use my Chrysler ME Four 12. I love that car and since its a car I earned, I feel proud driving it around. Plus it is extremely fast!
When I want to cruise for fun I use a lot of different cars. The GT500 is real fun just really slow off the line. The 67 Camaro, Corvette, and firebird all sound the best.

Diab thats great news about the drive in challenges. Mabey now I will try to do some of them knowing the cheating has been cleaned up.

yeah I heard it. I actually posted quite a few pages back about how good it sounded. Then I found out how good the old muscle cars sound and wow what a difference. Too bad the Mustang 67 GT500 doesnt sound as good as the other muscle cars but hey at least its in the game. :)
Now if they would just throw in a 69 Camaro I would have just about every dream car I want all in one game! 👍

I'd love the FFX to be in the game too. What a car!!!
 
Only just found where the roads discovered tally was - only managed 58% and just over 2003 miles covered. I'm using my McF1 to cruise and find the last 9 transporter missions. Pity I've got to go work now. Booo!
 
:lol: This is awesome! I left my house at the top of the crater and I'm currently at the Mercedes Benz dealership, and I havn' touched the gas once. I have coasted the entire way there! I wanna see just how far i can get.
 
EDIT: After 22 missions, my 23rd was on a bike. I had to transport a Ninja 10 miles and it feels so much quicker and more protective of the perfect score, because those slow moving idiots you have to wait to pass in a car, you can just bomb past with ease. Probably the first time I've been as fast as 190mph on one of these missions.

Check your mileage in the stats in the garage, if it's like me and my Mustang GTR then it will have some red numbers and also when you drive it the amount will decrease. Even though nothing shows on the odometer while you're driving it in the game. lol

Finally got the Explorer achievement for "Unlocking all roads". However I think it glitched or it was generous. I was at 99/100 and in a section with at least 12 more roads to go. I just barely started driving around and it gave me the achievement! I was very happy. :)👍
After that I spent the rest of the night just cruising and having a good time building up for the 5000 miles. I even instant challenged a MV Agusta, Saleeen, and a ME Four 12 to a 4 mile race and I won. :sly: I love this game sooo much!!!

The glitch may just go back to default later, anyway I'm at 99% with one more achievement to go, which is the 3 interclub race victories.

The LM goes the same as the GTR, also you be lucky to get sold a Zonda Roadster.

Well I finally found something that disappointed my girlfriend and I about this game. We decided to start playing the multiplayer now that we have completed the single player. This way we could get some miles and just race with people and earn some money for cars. I never realized you dont get ANY money for the multiplayer races!! We couldnt believe it. What is the point in having races against other people online if you cant win any money? So now I have a feeling that after we get our 5,000 miles that we might also be done with the game. I just cant see myself playing the multiplayer much if there isnt any money for winning. We raced the hour race around the island and got discouraged after realizing that we didnt win anything at all. It is still one of the best race car games I ever play but not giving money for multiplayer races is disappointing. I will still hop on once in a while for pics and to cruise with friends but I guess to get money I will have to do instant challenge or play the single player races.
 
There's a lot of multiplayer events and activities you can do where you can earn money. The instant challenges can have wagers, and don't quote me on it but I think there may be money involved in some of the car club events.
