Well I got my G25 for $200 used less than half a dozen times, that deal is hectic awesome.

Mine was $206 with postage, NEVER used ;) some spoiled brat got it for Christmas and never touched it...

Noice, I got mine with NFS Undercover  went and picked it up and pretty much the times I used it before has been the only times he used it.

There's a brand new G27 for sale for $300NZ here in Nelson at Dick Smith Electronics.

Yep. I was going to break the 23k barrier tonight but found 18000 more points in my old Chevelle. Spastic wheel spin but you can get a lot of angle out of it And I mean a LOT.

Shame I can't paint it Chameleon orange because it really deserves it.

Good job kiwi. I'll try to beat your score in a different car.

Also, noticed you have the Chaser.. it any good?

Thanks.

With nothing done to the engine it feels rubbish but give it a couple more hp and it glides like a pro. Very good drift car.

Also played Forza 4 today. I may do a write up on the Forza thread on the engin site

Yea, I spent all day yesterday playing Forza, and I am openly admitting it is better than GT5....
Ford Mustang V8 in an XB Coupe, 10 second 1/4 mile VW Toureg, RWD Honda Civic conversion, Supercharged AWD Ford Fiesta Conversion (For all you gymkhana fans out there), Livery editor, torque effect, proper engine damage (360km/h in 7th in a Veyron, dropped it to 1st, ruined the engine, smoked out of the exhaust and wouldnt go past 80km/h and sounded very ill), Lamborghini aventador. The list goes on and on... Oh, did I mention VR38 Twin Turbo in an R32 with a RWD conversion?

Sounds like Forza 4 is good then.. shame it aint on PS3 or PC.

Perhaps they should look into doing a PC version.

It is a very good game. One issue is that the tracks look rubbish. I was getting confused with the controllers though. Instead of accelerate I handbrake, brake is change down, handbrake is change up, reverse is rewind, change up is accelerate and change down is brake. I was terrible. Because of this I couldn't get a solid opinion on the drifting. It felt very fun (if done right) as the car tilts more on camera. It felt very nice.

It was nce to see you could do so much with the game but there was one problem: A.I. I saw A.I. spin and crash into the tyres on hammerhead just by itself. It drove up to the corner, span, and failed. The best thing is the list of cars. Only 500 but all worthwhile. Just 1 Mazda roadster, not 30.

I want to have another go now. The game really succeeds in areas where GT5 fell. It is excellent and makes me want to buy an X-Box

Im getting an Xbox for Christmas hopefully with Forza. And a PC version would be good but the only real problem I see with doing a PC version, and this applies to all PC games, is the computers required/recommended to run them are often up to 10x more than the games itself to get the full potential out of them. You just cant enjoy the game on anything else...

I actually didnt find the tracks to look all that bad, I guess just being used to GT5 Graphics, anything else loosk rubbish but I relly quite liked it. I also like the grip levels throughout the tracks. Doing a lap of the ring, I was quite hesitant to put the throttle down too soon, like I would with GT5, as I wouldnt have got away with it like on GT5.
The torque effect makes it interesting. Too much throttle too soon, you end up in the wall, too little and you end up behind a good couple of car lengths behind. Whereas GT5, you could plant the throttle in a 1000hp viper and not have to worry about it spearing off the side, plant the throttle in a 1000hp veyron and you'll regret it. 1 because you'll end up in a wall and 2 because once you damage it, it restricts the top speed and impairs acceleration and handling.

The torque adds a whole new perspective for drifting on Forza. No other game has this unique and interesting "thing". On the Touge section I was drifting a standard AE86 (by drifting I mean slowly approaching a corner and ******g up horribly). When I did get a good entry I drifted the '86 like I normally do, floor the bl00dy thing, get the rear out and cruise along with the tail out. I entered the corner nicely and gave it a dab of power (by now I was getting a nice angle) but then the rear started stepping out by itself by what seemed like magic.

Knowing that it was because of the torque effect makes me feel like turn 10 have actually done a proper job on the game. I was thinking the cars would slide everywhere and be a cross of NFS and GT. scratched paint may look weird but for the game deserves 9/10 for sure.

Yea, T10 definatly did a bloody brilliant job with Forza. On an unrelated note, I found a brilliant Drift Section. Would be good for a comp -hint hint *coughH2Hcough* hint hint-
Will post section in a sec....

Here we are..

The section starts at the top of the hill at Panasonic and runs down the hill to Dunlop. Thoughts?

Sounds nice. I'll get on tonight and have a crack

Trying the section out now. Very fast and quite nice actually. Your going to want a fair bit of hp to get you through the long turns. Blu Thunda can cope

394hp FT-86 handled it well enough. I was running the same line with it as I was my 680hp ZR1..

Your FT has 394 hp, my g sport FT has 375 hp. I can't get NA tune ups on it which means I use a low RPM turbo. I use it because it looks better than the standard concept in my opinion. In about a fortnight we will be able to get the GT-86 though. Eager to see how that drifts. Shame it didn't look as good as the concept

H2H #3 will be happening these school holidays. The course looks great, especially with the blind 1st corner and tricky last transition.

On an unrelated note, I feel GT is better then Forza. I would go into detail but I'm not here to force my opinions on ya...

Right, now that I've got that outta the way, here's what I was thinking for H2H #3...
* I will not be competing for two reasons. 1. I can't drift very well on the G25. 2. People prefer competitions where the organizer does not compete
* I will not be judging. This comes down to one thing- I'm not as good s judge as some of the other GTP members, which leads me nicely to...
* I have an idea for Mallala members to do the judging *stares at Geti* as it would be a good way for us to get some publicity *glances at Stav.*
*Why us? I can count on you guys, as I've known most of you nearly a year now. You'll be rostered so no one has to do all the work (unlike H2H 1)
* if one of you guys can't judge when your rostered I will be able to fill In... Maybe
* I will make a H2H website on enjin (or a similar tool) by the end of the week, along with a GTP thread. The website is mainly so people who are not GTP members can sign up & compete without to much hastle. Which means we'll need to do some recruiting
* Why do we need to do recruiting? Because I'm thinking BIG! As in a 32 car bracket.
* There will be a no-show & your out rule. Once a time and date has been sorted out, if a competitor doesn't rock up there will be no 2nd chances. (I will try and remind people of when they're battles are coming up though)
* Comfort hards, real grip, tyre wear on, FR...
* Probably no BHP limit... I found that it doesn't affect the battles that badly
* No in game prizes. Duping has devalued them far too much. I'm not sure if a real prize will be required, but if it is I'll organize one out of my pocket.
* No chase car- replay cameras have made having one pointless
* Random draw. If two team members meet round one- too bad
* All replays will be put on the website with the same camera angles, intro etc. For each. This is simply for a polished, complete look that requires less work from me
* I'll use the same bracket website as before
* I won't take nominations for competitors until Monday next week, by then the site should be up & smooth
* 5 people max to a room, 2 competitors, a judge and two spectators
* Mics off apart from judges
* No qualifying- First in, best dressed (qualifying killed H2H 2 :()
* judge's decision is final. If someone argues they will be disallowed from any future H2H tournaments
* Geti's course may well be the one we
Use, it looks gooodd...
* I'll be making a heavily edited recruitment video from the two H2H's with had so far... Why? Because I feel like it ;).. It should be done by Monday (in time for applications)
* There will be democratic talks from Monday until Friday where people will be able to discuss any issues/suggestions they may have. After that it becomes more like a dictatorship, I'll listen to the people but may not take there ideas seriously

So... That's where I'm at right now, any ideas/suggestions...? Please don't go Scribbling this info all across GTP, I want relative peace while I work out the kinks.

Looks good, I suppose I could judge, although it will be my first time judging such an event. Also, bear in mind our compatibility issues too, Hayden.

32 bracket sounds good.

All in all, looks bloody brilliant.
I'm loving the idea of tyre wear on. Seperate the men from the boys.

The no Hp limit Im a bit iffy on as I feel we will be dominated by RX-7's, but Im will to accept it.

👍 sounds cool. Tried joining before but it never finished loading so I couldn't join. Also tried the Fuji section in the Trueno and found it can easily get around the course. After a couple go's you realise it is a really good drift section. Thanks for finding that Geti!

Sound good MrD. When the sites up I'll spred the work to some friends on other forums.

Anyone got a room open as I feel like drifting.

It is a utterly gorgeous section. Beast, some random and I were reverse entering the first turn. Bloody ideal corner for it too. The long link before the last chicane is a bit tricky. Get the wrong line out of the corners before it and you either fall short to the chicane, or end up touching the grass. I also think the final chicane transition will catch a heap of people off guard.

I doubt my Volvo would have enough speed to drift the section at Fuji very well.
