@Kurei You know when you look at a really bright light...say the sun? Your vision gets a blur for a few seconds afterwards.

Except welding mask + tinted glasses. Literally worked better than anything else, and neither I nor any of my co-workers had any sort of negative reaction afterwards.

Don't y'all get jelly I could actually watch the eclipse, rather than glance for a few seconds every now and then.

20/20 I wish, prescription lenses thanks to a childhood of sitting too-close to the TV for Saturday morning cartoons.
No hard feelings, just didn't make sense to me initially. 👍

EDIT* - Not 'amazing' but kinda cool, Playboy had the same idea back in '91 for the eclipse.

I guess that would be the heat haze and then the separation from the cooler air coming off the spoiler.

I have a picture of the haze, but it's nowhere near as cool.

I have no doubt at all that they would've been in contact with each other on the UHF/CB.

When doing what is known as long haul, tagging into a convoy is so much safer than grinding away by yourself.
