I am just watching the news, it is around 5:30 on Iraq and the first bombs have just been done right now.

Did anyone hear the President address the nation? It was just under 4 minutes. One thought that came to mind was, the motivation was to liberate Iraq and remove Sudaam and his weapons of mass distruction. Don't we (USA) also have weapons of mass distruction? It's interesting isn't it? Sounds like it's certainly underway though.

yes you(USA) do have WOMD but iraq has chem weps the USA does not (at least that we know of).

the point isn't that the US has them, it's that iraq agreed to get rid of them 12 years ago, and apparently didn't.

i hope the war is over by the time i get a car so the gas prices will be lower.

Same here, people were walking around asking "How's the war started? Nothings happened to us yet."

It would take one hell of a intercontinental missile to do any significant damage to us.

I have heard alot about this war now. I think the USA is screwing up big time. But its not like it will be the first time.


Iraq just wants to have their own weapons to protect themselves. Chemical weapons are something that does a lot of harm but doesnt cost alot of money. I could see why Iraq would only be able to carry these kinds of weapons.

USA wants to bomb Iraq because it makes them nervous that someone other than them can wipe out the world.

So, is the USA bombing Iraq on the preminition that they have weapons? The USA has gone mad. One day people will look back and shake their heads at all of the bull**** the USA ****ed up for no everybody else. This doesnt mean much to most Americans, because to them, they ARE everybody.


What a joke of a country. How can they be the most powerful?! I guess thats the way the cards played themselves out.

If you are in the USA, and believe with all of your heart that USA should be attacking Iraq. Remember that you should hold back some of your convictions as they stand. How can you honestly believe everything your government says to you when they know you cant really hear the other side of the story.


If it wasn't for Tony Blair, the UK wouldnt be in on this. Considering most of their leaders dont support war, other than Tony Blair.


I heard a Canadian governmental figure on TV saying that no-one respects someone with out an opinion. He was reffering to the US not respecting Canada anymore if we dont take action with them against Iraq. This seemed really stupid to me, because, does the USA really respect ANYBODY?

Apparantly Tony Blair (uk prime minister) didnt even know that the war had started he was assured by the US that he would be told when the bombing take place but he found out by journalists the same time as the public. shows us that the UK really wasn't appart of this war just more like and added bonus for the US.
