The best race track ever

What do you think is or was the best race track f1 ever went to

Either Monza (because of the slipstreaming) or Spa (beacuse of Eau Rouge and it being a great driver's circuit).

Never heard of Nordschleife. So until I know more about it, Im gonna say Nurburgring, but the long version (not the one F1's race on).

Edit: Anyone has a handy link to a site with info on Nordschleife? Or maybe a video of a car running a full lap?

Here is a video of the M5 Ringtaxi, and it is not hard to understand why it is called "the green hell" watching this. Imagine late 70-f1:s at full throttle here..

this is the best without doubt but the old spa 8 mile track was very good to and much faster.

The great thing about the old nurburgring is that you can still drive on it today yourself in your own car for 9 Euros. On selected weekend every year i think the track is open for about 10 weekends a year to the puplic.

Nice, will be done in 4 min But are you sure thats not the full Nurburgring track?

Sort of. The blue track is the Nordschleife, the black track is the Grand Prix circuit used for the European GP (before the first sector mods.)

I've run that circuit in Grand Prix Legends - it's a miracle more guys weren't killed there.

run the old spa and nurburgring in GPL also. botha re a hell of a lot of fun. just got gpl a while ago, best time at the ring is 9:15 in a ferrari (only run ferrari there so far because the screamin motor is too fun).

tough decision, dont know.

I think that Suzuka is probably the best of the current tracks. There's a lot of tricky stuff in it for the drivers to negotiate.

Yea you are right about that Giles, plus alot of the drivers enjoy going there. Personally I like the S curve and 130R at Suzuka.

Yeah - there's really not much else putting its hand up, is there?

Silverstone's not what it used to be - I really miss the open sweepers there. Hockenheim was never really much chop, although some of the drafting battles were fun - used to bug me seeing the cars qualifying two-by-two. France produces some of the dullest races in living memory. The Indianapolis track is one long straight and a bunch of slow corners. Albert Park's flat, with fairly dull corners. Monaco's a joke. Malaysia's okay - nice and wide too.

It'll be good to see Spa back in the circus - the cars do look damned good there.

Wouldnt it be great it F1 went to Assen?

gotta disagree with silverstone - i think it is ok. Montreal also usually provides some good racing. Monza is pretty dull tho......but better then hungary

I agree with the ordscliffe was and is the best track ever.
But moving onn and slightly off topic ( I know it's not F1 but there you go) what's the best track in the world ever and in general? (including or not including F1).
Nordscliffe still for me but LeMans a close second (not the Bugatti circuit but the big 24 hours one).
