The only car i kept from that gone in 60s was Delorian ...... i like the sound and the style !!!!!
The heavy electric one give me a bit of a more try to be on time and biggest disappointedwas opel speedster !!
You could count from zero to 10 until change the gears at peak.

久しぶりみな! Been a while everyone! I am not dead, just been busy and haven't been able to make it on here in... how long has it been now 2 months? Anyway, not dead, and Smoothbore, you might have to come up with a new nickname for me.

330 P4 looks so sick, I needs to save up for it. I grabbed the Mclaren F1 Race Car Base Modle on suggestion to Demo run Silverstone 10 Lap Challenge. My focus is on tuning for balanced tire wear from pit to pit. No real interest in a fastest lap time, I'm going for a car that won't just do one hot lap then slow down as tires wear out I want the car to handle the same as the tires wear out so lap times are closer together across the 10 laps. Usualy I don't go for such a fast car in these events, I like to run cars that can barely take the W so that I have to manage how aggressive I'm driving with how much rubber I have left, only wish we had longer events with tire wear.

Clean Race this car I run with ABS-1 & TCS-0 RM tires I pit at then end of lap 5 to have best tires throughout the race. I make first move into 1st place on lap 4, I pit at the end of lap 5 but the BMW F1 McLaren stays out and pit at end of lap 6. I retake the lead while he's in the pit at the beginning of lap 7. I was able to get far enough past him before he left the pit he had no draft on me to use to keep up, I gap him by almost 30 seconds by the end of the race.

How you do it?
I have a video camera with a chip. I film the race using a tripod. I take the chip and stick it in a thumb drive load it up to my computer and from there to YouTube. I do it for my racing students and my buddies here.
 
60 years old few days ago and my friends prepared something special this weekend.
As you can imagine no time for virtual racing.

Anyway, the King challenge was very tought for me as the cs are 8-10sec slower not for less performant tyres itself but for the impossibility to catch the group of the top cars as gt-r, is f, csl,...

I used to have a set up where my ps3 split 1 to tv one to lap top and recorded on the laptop direct (best quality) but have since retired the set up due to ps4 having share button that does it all.

If interested I can give info on how that was done. Screne recording from pc direct quality is unmatched but it takes some trickery to get past the blocker, relatively cheap tho.

This time I went old school I propped my cell phone up on the coffee table and recorded. Terrible quality I apologize ill look into improving it.

As for the DTM classic, hopefully that'll happen soon. Funnily enough I asked @bjl23 a while back if we could do some challenges with race cars, so I'm keen to give it a go!!!
 
As a marshal in the king challenge i have to take a decition for the out come .

While @lfm58 write a 5.57 which is a long difference due to CS tyres.
Seems not fair fight as we all know what Gladiator can bting on the board ,but....but to the accept the challenge with the " cursed " 507 prove to be a bad idea.
So that for i will announce @bjl23 as the new King of the hub .
Gladiator will have the chance to get back the crown in the future with a not so overestimated decition about the handicap that he accept this time.
Besides that Bryce did quite well whith that damn car and is second in div 2 with his time.

A big applaud to both competitors and as we use to say : s..h..i..t happens.

As i take the risk to compete straight ahead Gladiator in daytona without a handicap ,he take the risk of a handicap that prove to be a huge disadvantage for him..

Boogeyman and Gladiator must appreciate your come since you can make them to try harder and be better .

I seriously thought there wasn't that much of difference in the tyres, maybe 1 second a lap but not 2, I don't think that was a far handicap for @lfm58, but now I know.

I did plan an event using tyres as the handicap but I have now scrapped that race.

Like @smoothbore12 said, while I'm KING he is the Marshall. All KING OF THE HUB challenges need to be posted to him.

The run posted from the McLaren F1 GTR at the Silverstone event was actually done on a unfinished tune. Originally with no intentions to run this car in the event because its a little bit too fast, just wanted somebody to try a set up. Being an unseen driver at This point I guess it was just time to prove how quick I said it he car is and at same time show I'm not a dirty driver cutting corners or using AI cars to make corners ECT. I was not really satisfied with the car yet and felt she still had some more to gain with tuning, but its a good opportunity to show the HUB too Im not a Dirty Boi lol. Strange how working on set ups for 2 other completely different cars led me to tuning this Crazy fast McLaren F1 but such is life, never really know where you end up, roads twist and split.

Time Attack Rules I go by
No short cuts / Keeps min 2 wheels on the Track all lap except jumps / Rumble Strip Is part of the Track / Aside from Rumble strip run off area IS NOT part of the track more than 2 tires go in nullifies lap time

Racing Rules I go by
No short cuts / Rumble Strip Is part of the Track / Keep it on the track however mistakes are allowed as long as they don't cause a position change other than losing position / no using AI cars to make corners / no bumping AI cars or positioning your car to get bumped by an AI car / rubbing is racing some minor contact is okay but no serious hits / lapped cars get taken into consideration.

Just so y'all know How I does it. If y'all far off n different let me know, so far it seems like we all generally on the same page.

Tonight I took out the wrenches and made some really minor adjustments to my McLaren F1 Race Car and it made a substantial differance. I think I can tighten her up a touch more but the improvements so far are worth posting.

Bringing down the fastest lap time to 1:50.561 I was able to catch the BMW McLaren F1 on lap 3, he passed me at the begining of lap 6 while I was in the pit but I was far enough ahead at this point that when I left the pit I was on his heals again out the pit and right on his exhaust as he pulled in to pit, I kept it as neat as possible the rest of the run to get a race time of 19:33.774, gapped the BMW McLaren F1 by 43.586 almost 45 seconds. Yeah this car is just too damn quick for this event.

I have the replay saved and if I have time this week I record it and make an effort for improved quality of the recording.

Under 650pp and hitting 1:50.XXX on Silverstone ain't too bad for me, I think one last wrench session will finish her up, just some little tweaks to keep that last lap into the pit in check as its still an itty bitty skittish about halfway through lap 5 & 10 when I'm pushing it.

I remember a Tsukuba TT @ 400pp in which Suzuki was with very similar performances by SH & CS, At that time there was an endless discussion among drivers…
4WD cars could be a way to have closer performances for CS/SH, SS/RH,... for instance Rally car div 1/SS, div 2/RH

I will take note of that mate about the 4WD if I decide to go down that path, and I'll do more testing before I roll it out.
Please challenge me to a KING race as i don't think that was a fair race.

Friends apart from races, can't we arrange for Time Trial (TT) competitions with a said car (Tune or no tune)! We could post the fastest times out of the many tries. Really miss TTs.

I'm sure all of us are honest here & will compete fairly. I anyway believe in fair play, even if I'm last in the standings.
