Can someone shed some light on this event regarding the car (senna 83?) & track? All that text gets me dizzy. Thanks.
Objective: fastest time

Vehicle: Ayrton Senna West Surrey Racing, 1983 Ayrton Senna

Venue: International A, super GT500 championship, race 1
 
Hi Mates, I'll start with the proceedings. Here's my overall time. Enjoyed it thoroughly as the Senna car is in my top 5 favourite cars.

- Don't be disheartened with this beloved car being slow in overall speed or pickup when compared to the GT cars. This car has the best corner entry / exit naturally.
- For the 1st 2 parts of the lap You'll make nice progress but the final part which has long flowing corners & a medium tight corner leading to the main straight, this car is a beast there.
- Avoid the kerbs as this car is quite nimble over them.
- Be weary of the AIs especially during the turns.

As always a fun challenge, need to revisit the S206 and HSR-II to see if tweaks to the tunes will speed them up. Will post links to tunes used later.
 
Sometimes ,life gets in a way and unwanted things happen.
The " noisy" guy is here , not in full mood but is here .
A health matter came up but now seems are all better ( the grandma had to make a surgery) for now and hope to stay that way ahead of Christmas.

Just come home driving in heavy rain for 3 hours ,along in the house and might get some action perhaps with some battle cars.

Glad to see Uday adapting so quick and enjoy it.

As an experiment I took the SRT Charger SRT8 '11 around Tsukba and even that with a PP of 498 (no oil change) was overtaken/pushed down the back straight by the GTR.
 
I was clean, no touches but need to find a quicker way through the field, alternative lines, smoother inputs etc
Best way is to learn all the corners in advance so that you don’t even have to think about where you’re going to pass cleanly!!! If you do that you’ll be thinking 4 corners in advance of getting there and so on and so forth.
 
No other car on tsukba needed to push my car guys like I said 3rd lap with the GTR and and I was in front.I did let the GTR in front at the last straight bye the time he was nere my front he didnt get a chance to cut me of like I said the first lap had to be a minter a 1:07,5 or slightly less and the rest of them in the region of a 1:06,2.I was only annoyed that when you have worked alot of laps for both events and then that happened thats all Rman:tup: and even more so because I had the trophy for the GTR for division 2 with just too small bumps from the GTR if I had of none the rules were that relaxed I wouldnt have deleted the pic sigh.

Except Lambo the other tunes was from ghostrider65, lambo was the only i found from demonchild with a tweak in spring quite softer.
All cars was able to run at 49 mid-high except .....the Lambo again.
The Only one that hit 48s was the Golf !!!! But not in that round.
Another surprise was the HSR that bust my bal ....lets say baloons till make it to oversteer as i wanted.
Quite heavy the Lamb ,to much smoke killed by his weight.
What i like most? The screaming Golf and the cool TT from the Audi.
All cars was under the same treatment ,enough restarts if an error occured and was very close.
Jjudging from fastest laps the winner from me was clear the Golf that was able to slide on for wheels and change directions in a snap, the 206 might be a bit better but no way for first place in my hands.
The HSR was another surprise but very understeering in first place, need to put the initial at 60 in the rear and run it 30-70 .
All cars was under higher brake in the rear to throw the rear end out and then bang ,in some cars needed to wait or brake earlier like in TT and wait a bit to pass the apex for good.
Only the VR 10 was bang - bang ....... my Golf was shot me down.

Verdict : life is a bitch ,at least some times.

Very nice write @smoothbore12, the whole idea with THE GREAT GTR ESCAPE is I wanted to a MOV event but normally the faster guys win them and I didn't want another event where the slower guys have no chance of winning. But after flicking through some past times I noticed that a lot of the time it's hard to 'escape' the GTR as it's normally bumper to bumper across the finish line, this it doesn't give the faster an advantage. And the whole name: 'GREAT GTR ESCAPE' because you very rarely escape the GTR especially on the motegi track.

@paddycars1 there no advantage if everyone users the GTR to get a little push. Don't beat yourself up over this mate.
 
Also guys with these USERS CHOICE events where it's fastest time I was thinking of maybe carrying over the 2 divisions over to them as well?

Love the car, not a fan of the HUGE speed differential :/ AI SLUGS in the corners but demons on the straights it was almost not fun dealing with them blocking the corners.

I ran a 5 lap race in Arcade too, neither an overall challenge to win but Arcade much less frustrating and feels more natural going around similar cars. No bashing just much prefer races that are more natural kin to racing.

When about to overtake a AI through a corner, we'll need to make a split second decision whether to overtake from outside or inside. It works both ways due to Senna car's awesome downforce & racing tire grip. The biggest hurdle I face is the last corner before the main straight. If a AI is right in front of me, I slow down a little & make some space because the AI will brake just before the turn ruining our turn entry. By leaving some space, I usually then overtake from the inside as the AI drifts towards the kerb on the outside of the kerb.
 
Usually, I've always been an A/T guy when it comes to transmission as I prefer not to multitask much when driving. For this event, I've used M/T on the Senna car. Today will try back to back races with M/T & A/T to see where I can be faster. I've kept my max speed at 250 km/h which just seems about right when reaching towards the end of the main straight.

Lower max speed would surely give better acceleration but will affect on the main straight whereas a higher max speed will be slow in acceleration but on the main straight could be beneficial, more so in slipstream.

Yeah that's the one that really gets my nerves. The Senna car is so darn slow and the corners got the longest straight right after NOT losing speed here is important, the AI get me mad forcing some speed to get scrubbed I just reset the race if they get in my way here.
 
A bit unatural this Senna lotus which going flat out in that track and need only 2 brakes per lap!!
It like racing in Daytona and the trouble here is the AI ,not to touch them and find a way to pass them without delay but seems you cant avoid that cause they are to many.

Someone .... kill that GTR please.

Not bad idea the split Bryce when fastest times take place at users choise.
