Isn't this what the PSN Store is supposed to be there for?
Oblivion Download Expansion Comes To PS3... On A Disc
Its supposed to be around 15 hours of gameplay added on, good luck doing that in one night. But, I guess this is just so those who already bought Oblivion dont have to buy an entire new game just to get the expansion. But Id just as soon trade in my oblivion and get store credit towards the GOTY edition so it will all be on one disk. And it includes all of the download content that was available on the x360 right?
Probably because it would take people days to download!

Shivering Isles is good, but it's not 15 hours of game play, it might be 5 at the most. I got it for the PC when it first came out way back when. Granted it adds some pretty good content to the game and I highly recommend getting it if you are into the series. I would be curious to see how looks on the console when compared to a PC. Also I'm rather surprised it took this long for it to be ported to a console, I figured the PS3 would have had an easier time then the 360 with it. It's definitely one of the more graphically challenging games I've seen.
With the expansion the quest line is rather strange and takes you to some really weird places and has you do some equally strange things. Like I said highly recommended.
Also did you guys get the new castle add-on for the game yet ported over? If you have I would save your money unless you are a warrior. The only reason I got it was because it was free for PC owners (maybe others?).

That's what I did with the PC, me and 4 of my friends pitched in and bought the disc and just took turns installing it.
Also what I don't understand is that I find the PSN to be much faster then Live in the way of download speed and it has bigger files. I don't think you would ever see a 700MB download on Live.
Victory for PlayStation 3 owners: Bethesda has announced that Shivering Isles, the expansion pack for Oblivion, will be released on November 29 as a digital download.
Previously, the expansion had only been announced as a disc-based product, which seemed like a ridiculous kludge and painted PlayStation 3's network features in a poor light.
The disc version shipped to retail today.
What Bethesda hasn't announced yet is how much the download will cost. Hopefully it'll be less than the $30 they're asking for the disc version: After all, there's no cost of goods, overhead, retailer markup...
