Finally got to episode 12 of Gurren Lagann. Simon finally mans up, and I find myself liking Nia more than I wanted to.
 
Saw The Wind Rises yesterday. It definitely is one of Miyazaki's weaker films, but it's still excellent, and he ends his career on a high note.

It was a bit hard to get into at times with the slow pacing, and also how the romance aspects of the film were slightly rushed and not handled very well.

The animation as expected was just absolutely beautiful, especially the umbrella in the rain scene between Jiro and Naoko.

Highly recommended you see this in a theater if you can.

Oh my God, when Ryuko stabs Mako. I was so scared that was going to be some sort of proof that she's totally unhinged. Satsuki with Senketsu was awesome, but Mako wore it better.

Also I feel sad that Nui's probably going to die next episode, because it seems pretty obviously on the cards. At least I got some Nui x Ryuko before the end!
 
Ginormous eyes, straight bangs, twintails, drooping hair bows, old-school maiden sailor uniform AND oversized sleeves? That's just about the whole package!

Now all we need is headphones, headband, a ponytail, a magic staff, glasses, eye patch, cat ears, rabbit ears and animal paws.

Makes my heterochromia look common if it is, though.
 
Finally got around to watching Attack on Titan. My brother told me he watched it in 3 days. I already pre-ordered the set but decided to watch it anyways.

Watched up to episode 8 last night and what. the. effffffff

Of course not. Colour contacts are all the rage with cosplay (and Asians), and these ones actually serve to create the illusion of having larger irises.

I feel like a weird anime magnet. Two I recently started are B Gata H Kei and Upotte.
 
@DK I was tingling at the prospect of Mako syncing before taking on Nui. Damn Trigger and their teasing.

Satsuki bugging Nui out with that scissor blade comment was pretty satisfying though.

Okay, I'm going to sit down today and finally catch up on KLK because no one in my house has any intrest in going anywhere or doing anything today.
 
Up to episode 17 of Gurren Lagann, where the weird holo-gundam wrecks stuff...

...I am genuinely sad that I'm nearing the end of this series. :(

I was thinking about watching Upotte, because it would be quick. I don't know though. It's either that or Bakemonogatari right now.
