Yeah. Clannad is one of the best anime series I've seen in a while. The only thing that really knocks it down is the love stories and the touchy feely stuff. But usually those are interrupted with Tomoya pulling a prank or someone saying what's ever on their mind.

It also ranks as one of my top English dubbed series which are:
1. Ghost in the Shell
2. Cowboy Bebop
3. Clannad
4. Trigun
5. Wolf's Rain

Inuyasha's in the top ten simply because it's English dub is far less annoying than the Japanese version.
 
I got used to subs after 2 episodes... and stop spoiling clannad, im not done watching it all. :(

Watching Death note, it's sheer genius, why dont all storywriters make up stuff this genius?

Fighting my way through Getbackers right now, not really loving it. Took a break to watch Initial D.

yaywalter, just looked at your post above again and it looks like we do have similar taste overall! GTO was great, and I didn't list movies, but many of the ones you have are in my 10/10 or 9/10 list.

have watched through the third episodes of both Argentosoma and Earth Girl Arjuna as of today, and they're both only so-so... come on guys, let me know I'm about to waste my time on cr@p, give some feedback here! might check out Clannad despite the obvious bishoju/moe style...
 
You may not like CLANNAD, but how are we supposed to know if you like it or not? I'm particularly drawn off by the character design, I really dislike how the artist draws the eyes.. they always look so unhappy and shy. But I think I've looked past that now and enjoy the funny bits. :lol: I think that's the only reason why I'm still watching this in the first place.

I agree with this. I usually try to avoid the "TV-PG" stuff on Netflx, but I'm actually glad I checked out Clannad. It's the funniest anime since I heard Kegome yell "Sit, Boy" in Inuyasha.

oh gawd and I used to like the dubbed inuyasha too... now that I heard that, I believe I no longer like a single anime in dub. Thanks a bunch nk4e. 👍
 
Really? Wow....I just wanted to see the animation but figured that the voice actor would be better.

yes. It doesn't subtitle the Japanese kanji like DVDs but it works.

I don't see what's bad about the video? I mean they ask him to cry out. It's not like he's reading lines. And the dubbed Inuyasha is still better than the Japanese version.

I hope the US gets the Inuyasha: The Final Chapter soon. That and the Trigun movie.
 
There may be a few dubs with better english voice acting than japanese, but it's not something I've ever seen. Every time I don't know to switch the audio over ahead of time, I'm immediately disappointed with the english dub, in every single case to date.

Aside from that, recently looked through everything Sunrise has done and picked a few to try out. Man, they go back forever! Gundam main attraction. Anyway, just finished ep 3 of Kurokami the Animation and it's got my attention so far.
 
I stopped watching inuyasha for a bit, but then i decided to pick up where i left off, not remembering where, i just skipped ahead to final act.... where it was ALL japanese :sly: and i liked it.
 
I just realized there is a Devil May Cry anime series. I noticed it while I was searching around on the Playstation Store. I remember how kick ass the game series was, and the anime series is as kick ass as the game.

Should that be stretched vertically like 25%? Nice studio quality work, though, hope you get a gig with this someday.

it just looks kind of short, compacted. try it and see what you think. but maybe I'm just into extenuation. Seems the proportions may be a little off, the head could be smaller which indicates more of an adult figure. I don't know, something like that.
 
does seem like it, i'm still new to drawing figures let alone anime figures....now i feel the need to redo it all :/ You know I had no intentions of uploading this piece at all, because it's a component to the big picture im making...but luckily i see the huge flaws in it. I am going to try again, but this time im using a different method.
