@Cano , so contacts won't suffice?

Freezing has caught my attention, looks like a more serious version of DxD. The DxD assets with blood, interesting

My favorite episode of Shirobako. Guy on the bottom is Hideki Anno, the director of Evangelion. The show called him "Mitsuaki Kanno" the director for "Ava".

I think they portrayed his living as a dead give away

L85-chan is English.

She was always jamming...should be upgraded to the A2 model...just saying. :p

Is this why she always breaks

I'll leave now

also her face makes you think she just died on the inside

I've never seen anything Japanese (besides Letters from Iwo Jima) which actually depicted a military lifestyle accurately.
I agree, letters from Iwo Jima was an outstanding film. 👍 Portrayed that battle perfectly.

The second last episode of Shirobako had such a great ending.

The way they animated Miyamori trying to hide her tears was very well done. You could feel the amount the emotions she was going through from her shifting left to right looking for something to hide behind.

You're all over this show now are you? :p

I can relate to Shirobako pretty well. When you've waited years for something to finally come true, you'd be balling your eyes out, and that's what I think Miyamori was crying about when what's-her-face stepped in for the role of Lucy.

Yeah, I saw that too when I was watching it. I should rewatch Shirobako sometime..
Funny enough finishing Nodame Cantabile a while ago made me think similarly as well.

Considering they had an episode about the M16 malfunctioning a lot due to factors only present in Vietnam and in the A1 version I don't think they really care.

I think I'd like to stay in fantasy land called Nodame Cantabile. Or maybe I'm just deprived of love.

Do you still think Shirobako is a glorified perspective on anime production?

Also I think this may be relevant

This really makes me want to get into animation - seems like an easy profession to get into if I'm skilled right due to the general lack of actual people, but popularity of the finished product.

If you're talking about the anime industry, you're gonna have to be very fluent at Japanese first. Plus you'll have to accept long hours without much pay.
And I don't think it has much to do with how popular a show is. Animating is animating. The only difference is that more stress is riding on everybody since the show you're working on is high-profile. Then again, I'm not at a expert so I'm hoping a certain person who used to regularly visit here can vouch.

EDIT: Here's some useful info related to this topic

Product was bad wording on my behalf - was meaning something like high need for the service an animator provides.

New Touhou is out today.

Kishin Sagume. Looks somewhat edgy.

Clownpiece. No, this really is her outfit. This is not a joke. She is literally America.

Looks like ZUN's art is finally improving after more than a decade of complaining.

@SVX Please don't make an itasha stock car with the number 3 or 43.
