Alright! Another new person to the anime thread! Welcome to this thread code_kev.

On another note, why would Cowboy Bebop be abbreviated CBBB? I mean . . . what's the deal . . . with that? CB makes much more sense. Why not just refer to it as Bebop instead? That is only one more letter to type. :ouch: :dopey: :dunce:
 
Bebop, sounds better and CHobits is very funny

I watch Kanon which is a drama for girls but I find it very amusing

Thought I would come in and mention that I just saw a commercial on tv for "samurai champloo," which has been discussed in this thread before.

It looks great and since the box set was being shown :trouble:

I rarely make purchases but this might be an acception.
There is no need for me to give the story with the series, I don't know much of it other than the creator lol... Some where further back in this thread I posted a collage of pictures.

Looks like a great show though.
So if any one of you gets to see it in detail, please post a non-spoiler based review. ;)

You can always watch the sub on the DVD, like you should with any anime.

Do what I do, watch the dub episodes first to understand the story. Then go back later and watch the sub for the racing scenes and japanese music.



Am I the only one who is having Gundam withdrawal? Almost three years without a real Gundam series on TV. I don't even watch AS anymore. I'm thinking about buying the Z Gundam boxed collection. $150 isn't cheap, is it worth it? (Does anyone have it?)

I was reading Naruto... and then not having broad band kinda kiled me watching it... that, and it got kinda boring after a bit. Espcially with the Fifth fighting scene taking on like DBZ time span :p

Samurai X is one of the absolutely best made animes. The animation is wonderful. The background music and tones always set the tone for the movie. And yes, the story is very sad, but that is what makes it so freakin' good. 👍

Am I the only one that thought the inspector/police officer on tonight's FMA had a striking resemblance to Zenigata from Lupin the 3rd?

I went to buy the vol. 1 of the samurai champloo today and of all things... Sold Out!

Did you catch Inu Yasha tonight?

I was suprised to see a new season running.
Also suprised to see that Adult Swim is running episodes one after another straight through their newest material. :bowdown:

TV executives always screw up big time but they came close on this one.
If they ran 6 nights a week with the newest stuff... Seasons 1-3(?) would fill up a bunch of the crap air time they already show.

Tom goes to the mayor. :stinky: :lol:

ATHF hit the mark for me, TGTTM does not. :sly: :lol:

Enough Adult Swim Fan Boy (ASFB) for now. :lol:

I've been watching a lot of Inu Yasha lately. I have seen a multitude of episodes that I had not previously seen. I have also been watching Wolf's Rain just to see what the series is all about and finally actually give the series a chance; though, I did miss one episode, so that kinda sucks.

I definitely like ATHF too. But TGTTM is terrible!!! I have yet to find anyone that has actually said something good about the series and the same goes for Super Milk Chan.
 
Well personally i love the Initial-d series its sooo cool with all the drift talk/tech but only the Japanese version kicks ass! :dopey: ! the US version sucks!!! :yuck:

Hey all!

Watching Full Metal Alchemist right now... Plan on watching Ghost in the Shell right after as usual.

Might come back with news regarding the episodes if I like either of them...

However, to be honest, the last week's episodes pretty much sucked. So I don't really know if I will be back immediately.

In any case I still feel like both series are pretty good.
Of course, the jury is still sorta out on Ghost, but I'm pretty damn sure FMA is awesome. 👍 :D :lol:
 
Just thought I would try and get some talking going on in the Anime Thread.

Full Metal Alchemist was really good tonight. The episode was great stuff. It had a little action in it, but it also had a whole lot of comedy in it. Armstrong is awesome.
 
whats up gents, just watched "HANNAPE BazookA" wierd, and short too.

This early 90's anime is about a young guy who gets beat up everyday by thugsters, but his encounters with two demons give him the finger of god. In return, the demons (comedy funbags) move into his house and uh ... get to know his family (cant explain it with thrashing AUP).

kirkis gives it 3 out of 5 lava lamps
 
Just one 45 min presentation, its REALLY hard to find. like discarded VHS discount rack, subtitled only.

I found it at a J-cd store DVD! 2000yeny, no subs though. I could only pick up on the catch phrases and one~liners. :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: I also grabbed some "RED MONKEY YELLOW FISH" and some more "judy and mary" (its like crack).
