Seriously, I am mad at the whole series now because of the last 15 minutes of the anime. It was that much of a disappointment in my opinion.

I watched all of the episodes of NGE. The last 2 episodes were horrible. Because of the talking it eventually confused me a bit, but the battles were awesome:D. Might check the movies tonight:)
 
I suggest you check out the movies as well.
I can't remember which one but one of the movies actually does an alternate ending to the series. 👍
All in all the series is definately depressing and somewhat crazy but that's part of what makes it so classic. Plus, that gives you an insight into why so many animes being made since then have used the same themes with less success.

I loved NGE and I'd use on of the characters in my avatar if I could find anything in them that I believed existed in myself (except the darkside of humans represented in Ikari).

In any case, I consider NGE one of the best series ever. 👍 👍

Two movies
Death and Rebirth, and End of Evangelion

Death and Rebirth:
Death is a summary of everything up to ep 24, Rebirth is the alternate ending that replaces eps 25 and 26.

End of Evangelion was released later and (in large part) reuses parts of Rebirth and adds an alternate alternate ending if I remember right.

You completely got me there. I have no idea that a ending could be this confusing. 60% of the show was more or less weird and i couldn't believe that it ended like this after a great start.

I'd better stick to Naruto i guess, were im good at:ouch:

I've got one if you're ever willing to use it as your own (but you've had that one for so long now I'd say keep it as long as possible and maybe catch Der Alta's streak :lol: ). (img attached at bottom)

I know it sounds strange but I like to pick my avatar on more than just the picture... I like to use the character's base as a representation of myself. Like my Naruto themes, that's mostly because of the never say die, always do your best, never go back on your word attitude Naruto puts forward. Same goes for Rock Lee but in real life I have blue eyes and blonde-ish hair so Naruto on the image side. :dopey: (not that my big red beard and overweight physique have any similarities to the characture (sp?) of naruto). :lol:
I suppose I hope for too much when I think people may read into the avatar more than to simply look it over once and write it off.

I agree and switch back every so often. Also, I like the inner hollow avatar but I'd end up with something a little different for myself.
Maybe something like this?

I really enjoyed it and now I'm looking forward to not missing any episodes... It's funny, I watched it every week when it came out and lost track right before Naruto and the team showed up to meet Orochimaru's spy and now I've gotten back to it right after they met the spy and had a battle. Although I only missed two or three episodes I feel like I must have missed some of the best action in the series. :ouch:

Btw, I went to see what episode I watched... It was 43 and 44 was already out... Just watched 44 and it was a little boring but definately developed the story a great deal. :D

I use Photoshop, but I assume any decent (ie, not MSPaint) image editting or photo retouch software would do. I've heard Gimp is pretty good as far as freebies go, but haven't tried it myself.


Anyways, I take a screen capture from the episode at the original resolution with KMplayer/BSPlayer/whatever. Then load that into Photoshop CS3, copy the bit I want (best if larger than 120x120 for premos), and paste that into a new image. Resize the new image down to 116x116 and change the canvas size to 120x120, sharpen things a bit and add borders & text.

...then Presto Changeo, new avatar

Just finished watching it this morning (after beginning it 11pm on Tuesday :crazy:). Viral was by far the coolest & most interesting character in the show.... plus, has some great lines.

My 2001 model 4300S dell came with a program named "Picture it!"
Not a great program or anything but it has a resize option that can keep the dimensions of a picture when changing size. Of course, it also does a better job of keeping picture clarity than ms paint. 👍

I'm headed off to check out some Bleach, maybe Naruto if it's up yet, and probably a new avatar since we are all enjoying that subject so much. :D
Btw, what number is bleach up to now?
Last week I watched a bunch of different stuff and still didn't catch up... I think I watched the crazy blonde use his inner hollow to beat the grimmjaw, then I watched the quincy fight a girl with wings using his quincy sword.
So where am I with that stuff and where is the series? :dunce:

Grimmjow got beat up by Shinji in like, episode 139 I think. Most current episode is either 157 or 158. Ishida just defeated the Arrancar with the wings, so you are fairly up to date.

Naruto I have no clue... I stopped watching it years ago; only read the manga now.

Manga for Bleach isn't that far ahead right now, so the anime keeps dragging stuff out, like the Peshe crap. :indiff:

I do a mix. Usually I just go with whatever I see and like, from there I find a way to make it happen. The current avatar is a screen cap and so is the one of jet that everyone knows. That bleach one with Ichigo freaked is a screen cap but not one that I took.

I'm glad to hear I'm up to date on bleach (more or less). I'm sure I'm up to date on Naruto (which is up to episode 45 with 46 coming out today assuming it is on time).

As for the mangas... I don't know of a way to get my hands on the mangas and so I just settle for what I'm given. :sly:
 
I'm happy to see the news and I've had the chance to watch shippuden 46. Things are surely going to heat up over the next month or so... I can't wait for Naruto to have a run in with you-know-who. It's going to happen and I'm just wondering what will go down.

As for Bleach, I don't have a streaming subtitled source so I haven't watched the newest episode (which is probably out).
I'll be back once I find out what's going on with Bleach, until then, thanks for the news everybody. :cheers:

Finally watched bleach and I'm really excited to see what happens next time with Rukia. She's in a bad spot with a bad dude and I can't help being interested in how it will all work out.
Let's hope for the best (as if they would kill rukia :lol: ).
 
I've finally finished Cowboy Bebop + the movie. The way the series ended was so perfect, the film had some very impressive animation and fight scenes. I can really see why the series is so highly regarded.

<- Avatar changed to one of the funniest moments in Bebop. :lol:
