Then allow me to even things up. C-ZETA, just watch the show in its entirety first. I don't know about you, but I prefer to watch things in their proper chronological (release) order. It gives a better sense of the whole thing. EoE isn't "better" or "the true ending", I think it's just a different representation. you can make your own mind up when you watch them, instead of being told what to do.

Are there any Sci-fi Anime series? I'm a big Sci-fi nut so if there is any, they'd definitely be something I could get into. Ghost in a Shell really rocked it for me.

I'm gonna side with AOStina here, Steins;Gate. I have yet to see a better Sci-fi. troof.

Got really bored while people were looking at my sister's ultrasound photos(It's a girl!) and passed out for the night, woke up listening to S;G's ED on my iPod, awesome.

and Junji Majima (Ryuuji) is also pretty good at voicing light-hearted semi-gar men...like Tohru (Iroha) and Kinji (Hidan/Aria)...

That will have to be my first investigation into modern Anime then. Chances are I'll end up finding a Chinese copy and not understanding it fully.

I saw a box set for Studio Ghibli (I think that's the correct name) and it was only 180yuan (about £180). Is that worth getting? I think it was a full movie collection with English subs.

So, I got to watch the first 2 episodes of NGE (eventually) last night, and now I'm gonna give a dedicated review to the show.

There is nothing I can say about NGE that is a total, complete and utter understatement. It is that good.

And don't listen to the people who tell you to skip episodes 25 and 26. They are not as good as EoE but when the are paired with EoE the ending overall is better.

NGE was good, very well done. But I don't really care for it. Shinji's annoying, Asuka needs to say how she feels and Rei.... Rei.... Rei just needs to uhhh... be.... a person.

The one I saw was a genuine copy, although for that price here its the cost of 20 regular DVD's. I'll put my faith in you guys and give it a go. I hope I won't regret it.

I don't know, shem. Bootleggers are getting pretty good with packaging nowadays... Also, Studio Ghibli is godlike... though I rather say Miyazaki Films. You won't regret Ghibli stuff, they're just good in general.... when I go to bootleg dvd stores in chinese-populated areas (where I live), where there's anime, it's usually old shows, and half of them are really popular ones, be it a large fanbase or it just being legendary.
