I wonder if anyone can find a way to plug drums in, electronically or something. I've got a few songs in mind that could be easily covered, and make us sound good. Probably Battalions by Metal Church and their title track of the same name. Give those two a listen, let me know what you think. Not sure about singing though, unless you just want to do instrumentals, which would probably be easier at this point.

Skython is a vocalist. 💡

Damn missed it.

The interview didn't happen as Blaze was in Belgium and was suffering connection problems. The interview has been rescheduled to next week.

Just thought I'd let you know that I entered 2012 needlessly headbanging my thick, long, wavy, orange hair to Can I Play With Madness?. It felt good.

I took a similar approach with Rainmaker. :D

Picked up Killers and A Matter of Life and Death today. I now have all of Maiden's Studio Albums, 2 Live ones and 2 Unreleased Singles. :D

I took a different approach. I went Brave New World (the album, not just the song) but couldn't be bothered headbanging. Since it was in Dream Of Mirrors at 12.00 I couldn't headbang.

Cranked Seventh Son and Somewhere in Time the whole time. In Dream of Mirros you can head bang later on in the song though.

Yeah, but I'm not really a big headbanger, to be honest. I was early mid last year but I've reduced massively.

I don't headbang. I'm not a metalhead by any strech of the imagination. I'm broadening my metallic horizons, but I only like 3-4 acts at the moment.

Bought 3 albums recently. Impressed with Final Frontier, Brave New World is good and I have yet to listen to Dance Of Death.

You must listen to Dance of Death, it's epic.

Dance of Death is good, but Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son will knock you off your chair. How they managed that sound I will never know. All I know is that last harmony just before the end of the song in The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner gives me eargasms. I can't help but smile when I hear it.

I agree. Wasted Years has almost theatrical drama to it. A superb ensamble. That period in general was just incredible.

I also highly, highly rate Piece Of Mind and NOTB.

I'm fortunate that Somewhere Back In Time: Best Of 1980-1989 was my first album. A great introduction to a truly great band.

Haven't heard much of it, it's the one with the creepy animated people on the front right? haha. Heard/Own pretty much everything else.

^Get Dance of Death man! ;) PS: Yes, it's the one with a animation on the front. Did anyone know that the cover was actually a concept, but they decided to use that one even to the animator's disgust?

That, I did not know.

I do know that the album art for NOTB was originally made for one of Killers' singles, but someone thought it looked too good for just a single so they held it back for the next album.

A wise move. I think it looks bloody ace. The t-shirt I have of it is one of my faves.

Just listened to "For The Greater Good of God" What a song! Incredible! :D

My favourite newer songs at the moment are The Final Frontier, Eldorado and Blood Brothers.

The release of that cover was an accident but they haven't forseen the need to reissue it like NPFD and NOTB (these 2 covers aloso had issues). Also there are multiple issues with it (kids leg twisted and stuck in the dog etc.).

Also, Maiden used synth in Hear 'n Aid's song "Stars" or "We're Stars" or whatever it was called. They played the harmonies in the chorus. Sounds good.

Yeah, there is loads of odd things on the cover. The We're Stars (I don't know what the name is) was awesome. I first had a listen because Geoff Tate was in it. But then I'm like  So much good musicians!!!

A lot of top notch guys were in that like Dio, Rob Halford etc.

It was crammed full with music pros. If Dave Murray and Adrian Smith are there. It's got to be good. Rob Halford and Geoff Tate are icing to the cake. Don't forget Yngwie Malmsteen was in it too!

But in the Hear N' Aid Adrian and Dave only rhythm duties. Because they were touring at the time.

The interview with Blaze Bayley will be taking place this evening at 7:15PM, listen via www.academyfmthanet.com. There will also be a podcast on Youtube if you miss it. 👍

Podcast would be greatly appreciated!

Finally brought the eponymous album today. Good album, I prefer it over Killers, the other Di'Anno album.

I prefer the way Di'Anno used his voice in Killers, it seemed more polished, in my opinion.

In all honesty, I have listened to just two or three Blaze tracks and as I stated in some of my earlier posts in this thread, I just couldn't appreciate his singing. But this is without listening to a full album of his, the consensus of which seems to be that one of his albums is good, the other is not. Which does slightly put me off buying them.

Di'Anno isn't terrible, but we all know that Bruce is clearly numero one.
