Just saw something that said and I quote: "There's a critical point, when you've stayed single for too long, that your brain switches from «No, don't say that» to «🤬 it. Say it and see what happens»"

This is so damn true that I find it disturbing. @ProjectWHaT that's what you have to think.

That's me in a nutshell. 24. Never had a girlfriend...

That's why I asked out that other girl twice... (the one that cancelled the 1st date and didn't show up to the 2nd one)...

And that's why I'm tempted to ask another girl out this week if my Little Torment keeps acting like a 🤬 diva...
 
Even if the other doesn't act like a dive ask the other girl out and see what happens. You have nothing to loose. Don't think of the other, foucus on the "new" one.
 
In college, broke. No job. About to graduate though. I can get a job, but I need time to study for getting certified on certain I/T certs (to build my resume and get a high average paying job). Met this blondie last semester. Sat next to each other everyday. We talked very frequently. The conversations were humor inducing. We have grown very close throughout the last semester. Conversations grew more deeply (can tell as we talked more deeper about our personal life). We even ate lunch together on a frequent basis. Text communicating was the normal too. Unemployment keeps me from jumping the gun and getting this interracial frenzie on the road. I know everything can work out even if I am unemployed, but deep down my moral pride warrants a man with income as the fittest (do things with that income n stuff). Communication is slowly converging to a stale state now..

Bottom line.... It hurts mentally as time progresses. I can depict the pain another time. Right now, I need a hug.
 
*virtual hug* Just need to overcome that sense of "I need to be so good to go out with her" and realise that's not what they'll base their opinion of you on. :) If they do then they're not for you.

That's where I am now. It's not that it's been a long time, it's just I'm surrounded by couples constantly and I want to make the most of my youth and the possibilities for relationships it brings.
A friend told me to add her good friend for a laugh because she knew I was always open to meeting new people. Turns out she's damn close to perfect. She's gorgeous, funny, has tastes in the things I do, understands my humour and something which I've been waiting for a long for, she puts in as much effort in conversations as I do. So I'm promising to myself, if we're still talking in the same manner by this Friday, I'll tell her I have a bit of a crush on her. I mean I've really got nothing to lose. She goes to a different college so there'll be no awkward moments in corridors.
If she's the same, amazing, couldn't be happier.
If she's not, ah well, worth a shot, YOLO and all that tomfoolery.

@DustDriver You are confusing the girl I asked out one month ago with the one I've been hunting down for years:

-1st one:I haven't talked that much to her ever since, but this week comunication has started to flow again. Despite what happened, she's a good girl overall.

Not going to pursue her again. Or anybody... for a while...

-2nd one: The one I've been trying to get for years. Yeah, she's the slut. Not worth texting, calling, nothing. I'm done. And this time is for real.

While I'm having an awful time trying to get cool... I'm gradually feeling better... When I went to sleep yesterday I was so angry I felt the devil itself was inside me...
 
Tis the ex's birthday today and while we remained in fairly regular contact despite being 1,200 miles away there's be no communication for nearly three months. So I'm wondering whether or not to send her a happy birthday text/email. I'm sorta thinking no because one, she's the one who didn't keep up contact and two I'm the one who's still hung up on the past.
Edit, it wasn't a bad breakup at all, I just had to move and she couldn't come with, so she called it done.

She knows that, but I'm not sure if just letting this absence of contact roll and let the past be the past is better than getting back in contact. Like I said she's moved on, although I'm have not so much. The general consensus of my friends is don't be a fool and just let it go. Obviously my indecisiveness is a good indication that I have not put things to rest in my conscience.
 
I still think you should do it anyway. Doesn't you get back in contact. You wish a happy birthday she thanks you (probably) and you both move on even if don't talk to each other.
 
Yeah, that's probably the most likely outcome. Although this girl attracts weird circumstances like the full moon or a celestial alignment LOL. But you're most likely correct.

That is true, she certainly takes the cake on that one too. A week before we got together my neighbor and I were chatting and my neighbor, who had no idea what-so-ever of my romantic life, said she had a dream that I was together with a tall woman with green eyes and long wavy brown hair. Well I didn't think anything of it until my neighbor saw my ex one day and swore up and down that she was the girl in the dream. And there are even more odd and strange happenings like that with this ex. Consequently, a week before the relationship ended and before I knew I was going to move the same neighbor said that my ex and I would drift far apart but come together again later on (which at this point is nothing but a coincidental pipe dream lol)! But I digress, you're certainly correct, emotions can twist your mental reality into creating odd circumstances that you would normally dismiss as coincidence otherwise.

Oh boy, Valentine's is coming.

For months I've been waiting for the time to say to someone I've known for years that I really like her... And now I feel way too scared. I'm extremely unstable, and if I were to get crushed by her or saddened by something I'd probably go into my usual tailspin. This year, I'm not sure I can afford to fall off the rails, with GCSE's, College placement, etc. to consider. Also, she's one of the few people I can trust out there, and I'm worried sick about losing that. She's been acting a little different (quiet) in the last week or so, which only adds to my fears.

I'm just very uncertain. I've been feeling more upset than usual lately for various reasons and I just don't know whether I'm able to take the chance... I mean, it could end up going well, but it could also drag me right down to rock bottom again. I don't want that.

*Sigh* If I knew I was letting at least one person down I'd love to just rid myself of all this stress, if you know what I mean. Plus, I'm not that sure if there's an afterlife, and whether I can follow motorsport if I got there... But that's another story.
