Here's one I made of an overhead overtake. I viewed the replay from the car I jumped so I could capture the action better. It's a small one, as I used an online creator which also only allows 10 photos for the animation.

(Might grab a package and make this one bigger, and hopefully smoother)

how about the rally? no dirt or mud or snow on the cars? in the trailer when they do a close up of the STi u see dirt on the doors etc. i wish i could take a dirty car into photo mode and actually make use of the car wash for when i want them to be clean

I know it doesn't stay on the car after leaving the race, but the replays show you can get some great snow coverage shots.

You'll notice the snow all up the windcreen pillars, side pods and rear wing. This took around 3 laps to achieve.

These are all INCREDIBLE! I've made a few GIF's in Photoshop a while ago, not from GT5 though... And no where near the quality of these either, rendered smoke!

Trailers come from a far superior hardware than the PS3. Not only pixeled shadows, but smoke gravel and all those fancy fx in GT5 get pixeled because Poliphony were not able to balance things up they used too many resourses for other stuff. If you look at the Escudo wing you can see those annoying white pixels under the SUZUKI word, and that's photomode, in gameplay you have an even worse situation.

I went through the first 5 pages all like WOW until I realized these posts were from almost a YEAR ago. Its amazing how GT5 seemed immortal back then and this was suck a happy community. It seems now this community is 1/5th of what it used to be and its so (rightfully, in some cases) negative about GT5. I wish we could have that wonderful community back...

Don't know about GIMP but with Photoshop, get a video file (preferably not too large at all) and file-"import"- "frames to layers".

If you want, open up an animation timeline, (usually found in Window/View) and mess around in there. Then save as .GIF.

I feel I left a lot out, but I think those are the basics covered.
