The GT7 Wish list (Read OP)

I would like just a fix on the online lobbies to bring it back to at least one GT sport offer

As for the tire model I think it would be very easy to implement tire pressures so you know what temperature range your tire is that we all know that the tire model works to a certain extent this could be a good help

The emergence of cars that are currently part of the race mode but not currently available in Brand Central.
I've noticed while racing, a Chevy Corvette C2, also a Porsche 911 GT1 Street. Both are not available at
Brand Central. Anyone else notice other cars like these?

I want a million events on every track in all kinds of conditions and car types.

Or in other words, besides the hand picked/created events, i want an actual race event creator like custom races but with more "feeling" and presets.

Add a free camera like livery editor to the garage or wheel shop.

This is one of the problems that plague me.
In the garage I like to take a good look at my car, but the camera switches from one to the other on its own, and there is no camera that can show me just the exterior of my car all the time like the GT of the past.

And the wheel shop. The current camera options are not very good. The side view doesn't really show the depth of the rims or the concave of the spokes.
But the "spin" camera spins the car too fast. I want to get a look at what the car looks like when the wheels are equipped, but it quickly goes to angles that don't show the wheels, like the front and rear bumpers.
As a result, I frequently have to press L1 and R1 to get back to the angle I want to see.

Both of these menus need a free camera that can be freely manipulated by the player, like the livery editor.

I want the replay cameras reworked, so that half of them aren't set below roof level of the cars. GT games used to have some great panoramic shots of the field and cars approaching and going through turns once in a while. Great for drama shots, but we don't have that so much anymore. Lacking that, I'd like to see a Director's Mode in replays, where we can set up our own darn camera positions and behaviors. No more extreme closeups!

I'm going to be posting in some racing league suggestions for my above post, including starting fields. These will be for cars from the 1980 - 1999 period.

Race season 8-11 events long with a championship offering double points. Include qualifying. Depending on track length, race laps should last approximately 8-14 minutes with at least one pit stop, and relaxed fuel usage and tire wear. Include an accurate weather forecast, PD. Allow saving between events.

IIRC Some of the replay cameras on certain tracks get changed in updates, was the case with GT Sport and GT6 I think from memory, so it's likely the same could happen for GT7

scoring pole position will earn you double the credits prize for a certain event
That would probably be 50%, but not a bad idea.

Another post of my wished for the classic WTC racing I'd love to see. PD, please make this happen. Had to tone down my previous post a bit as it was a bit longish with the racing.

double prize for pole might be a bit much, but I like the idea. maybe half the clean race bonus b/c pole position should make clean race much easier

I will admit I didn't read through the entire thread, so if this has already been mentioned, my apologies.

I would like daily races where it's a random track, random car or PP requirements, maybe even random weather
so I could get use out of the oddball cars in my garage, like the Jeep or Sambabus. Have the reward be something
like 50k credits, so we can do something interesting every day for money without spamming the truck Daytona
race or whatever else people are doing over and over to earn money. 50k - 100k a day fairly easy to earn credits
shouldn't impact the MT business, and keeps things interesting for us.

I thought I'd do one more entry in my classic WTC League notion, grabbing as many cars as I could in my bleary early morning state.

Not sure what Japan was racing in its JGTC form pre-2001, google and my brain aren't too helpful before coffee. :P

Race season 12-20 events long with a championship offering double points. Include qualifying laps. Depending on track length, race laps should last approximately 14-20 minutes with two pit stops, with increased fuel usage and tire wear. Include weather forecast, and saving between events.

You can probably extrapolate for GT2 class, LMP and Formula GT.

I hope Kaz and the team give us something like this in the future of GT7 and beyond.

  • An option to export our photos directly from the game to console/USB in PNG
  • An option to keep original decals when repainting a car and changing livery
  • Allow to use all custom wheels on all cars
  • Add "drift" setting in Scapes, with smoke and correct direction of motion blur
  • An option to remove driver's helmet in Scapes, there are plenty of models in game used for marshalls and spectators which would work just fine
  • Photomode for already existing and fully modelled 3D locations in game
  • Proper pitstops instead of cut scenes

Each (non-rally) course in the game should have ALL the following races available:

Karts
Open (Sunday Cup, Clubman Cup, etc.)
WTC 500, 600, 700, 800
Gr.4, Gr.3, Gr.2, Gr.1
Super Formula
Classic Formula (F1500T-A)
Red Bull (Junior & Competition)
Classic Touring Car (pre-1990)
Regional Championship (NA, Europe, Asia)

In addition, each course should have one race that’s either one-make or one-region.

There should also be championships for WTC 500, Gr.2, Gr.1, Super Formula, Classic Formula, and Red Bull.

Relying on custom races (with their measly payout and uncompetitive race results) to get some variety gets old quick. Adding these races would make the game feel more complete and add a lot of fun to single-player.

EDIT: ideas for single-make…Spec Miata, Porsche Cup, Radical Cup, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Renault Sport Trophy, etc. Or something like SCCA “American Sedan” class with Trans Ams, Camaros, Mustangs, Challengers, and Chargers.

Yes, but very important that we get mostly the same options like GT3/GT4/GT5.

I would like to see more rally car rims in the tune shop. To be able to recreate proper rally cars

  1. Don't make us buy starter cars, not everyone wants to buy a Honda Fit/Jazz.
Some people like to start playing the game in a specific way, I for instance like to focus on license tests first, then use the prize cars in races.
  2. A proper Career mode, similar to GT1, GT2, GT3, GT4, etc, these Menu Books idea may work in theory but not everyone likes wants to be forced to do something specific to be able to do something.
  3. Don't Hand hold players.
If I want to buy a cheap car then slap a high RPM turbo let me, don't tell me I am not experienced enough.
  4. Get rid of these Sarah, and other people that lecture you.
From the start I said I know how to play GT, Yet I am forced to read all these text boxes of how the Used Car Dealer works
  5. No unskippable videos, watching all those cut scenes for the championship is annoying even if seen only once.
  6. Add Fuel usage and Tire wear in all single player races,
GT4 had this and it was sweet.
  7. Allow us to decide how we want to start an race
Maybe we want to to do a our first stint with a 1/4 of fuel as i'm running softs and want to take full advantage of them
  8. Show cars in Pit driving down pit lane, Heck a PS2 could do this, currently the pit system is broken as soon as you hit 100 fuel, everyone exits the pit rather than driving down it
  9. Give us Auctions.
Players can sell their cars(Non DLC ones of course) and other players can buy them with their credits in an Auction style event.
  10. Get rid of this Online Only crap, I got kicked out of a race because my internet went down due to a rainstorm, imagine if you were doing race 4/4 on a championship and you were on the last lap and your internet went down.
What happens?, kicked to home screen and you don't get brought back if your connection is restored.
  11. When you buy a car from UCD or LCD the car is sold out until relisted, How can I buy the same car over 10times from the LCD if these cars are legendary?
  12. Fix the tuning aspect.
How can I slap a computer to a car from the 1950s?
If you can say, this car cant get a Turbo, you can say this car cant get a computer.
  13. Don't limit engine swaps, people have put all sorts of engines into all sorts of cars.
People have even put Corvette V8s into MX-5s
  14. In GT4s photomode, you could move the camera around within that space forwards, backwards, change location
  15. Photos from scapes to be saved on PS4/PS5 media center, the GT6 did this on the PS3
  16. Better AI, currently the AI is like that of GT1, in GT6 the AI had the ability to move around you, the AI now will just drive into you
  17. Make it so the AI actually gets effected by tire issues, I was overtaken on a 60% wet track while on inters by the AI on slicks
  18. Snow Rally courses
  19. Dust/snow trails from rallying, GT4 had long ass dust/snow trails.
  20. UCD uses seed to generate cars, making the game customized for each user could add some level of excitement as not all on line will just rock up with the same car as it just hit the UCD
  21. Mileage effects resale value(I am assuming this is not going to be the case when you add selling back in)
  22. Cars from UCD dont need to get an oil changed, most decent UCD in the real world service the vehicle
  23. More servicing ability in GT7, Timing Belt, Serpentine Belt, Coolant, Battery, Brake Pads ect.
  24. Temperature gauge, if you want to draft the AI to save fuel you should also have a side effect of an engine that starts to overheat slowly
  25. Brake Pads need changing for long endurance races, 12hr endurance races normally have brake pads changed
  26. Brake temp, Oil Temp on the MFD, this way we can see if our brake balance should be adjusted.
  27. Qualifying, Bring it back, Starting last and playing chase the leader is stupid, even more so if you're on a narrow track in the wet and the AI are playing the game of Rolling Turtle Roadblock and you want to race CLEANLY and get that Bonus.
  28. More Endurance, Look at old GT titles, Grand Valley 300, 30laps Trial Mountain, Laguna Seca 150miles
  29. Ability to Test Drive cars before we buy them allow us to pick a track for testing.
  30. Ability to delete your game save and start from scratch again, this adds life as you can see how fast you can finish the game

I like most of your suggestions with the caveat that even if most of your suggestions/feature will improve gameplay, we should be able to turn it off.
#6: Cool if the BoP/PP limits and tyre type rules are optional/eliminated in single player.
#28. Yes, but also options for maximum 1h endurance races.
#1.&2. This is most important for most players after credits got better. And #30 is important for re-playability.
#7 is also important, some of us thought PD learned from their mistakes after GT5&GT6, but no. How many minutes does it take to code start from standstill or grid start where first car starts actually 3-5 seconds before the last car?

1. Customizable interior colors.
2. Ability to trade cars with friends.
3. Track designer and tools.
4. Ability to select right or left hand drive.
5. Ability to open doors, hoods, trunks and lower or raise tops on convertibles for photos at least but the moveable tops for driving should be available with the corresponding change in PP.
6. Adding more cars to scapes where they will fit.
7. Ability to select various bokah in scapes and race photos (round, hex, octa, etc).
8. Ability to shoot photos in the pits while replaying a race.

Please give us the possibility to undo wide-body tuning. New body from the tuning shop cannot do it. In the real world it does.

The Load Style should have that option. We still have to buy a widebody for the widebody style, but it should also have the option to revert the body to stock panels.

Wishing for An option to only show favourite cars, permanently and to organise cars in selected groups, permanently. Can’t see why this isn’t done. I think GT5 has the option to hide cars in our garages. It glitched, but still an option.

Don't we already have this in that you can buy a new body from Tune Shop though? I get that it would be easier/cheaper to just replace the old fenders of course
