"There is now a human (well, npc) that waves the checkered flag at the end of every race".

When Im about to win I go under the checkered flag. Loves it! (Going to photo my epic wins from now on)

:)

The One-77 being given an altered engine note compared to 'lesser' V12 Aston Martins unlike a certain once-a-year racing game series. (It's not Forza and it has a sub-section in the forums here.) Sure it's a little off but at least PD tried.

The other Goodwood events are alright too.

The X-Bows are that good they deserve a second mention.

How much different the cars feel. I can feel when the tires are more grippy, the difference in weight etc. It's awesome!

Using a G27 btw.

Wait...credit limit is gone (or increased)? Now we can go over 20 million (or 2 billion for Japanese users)?

The 458 does NOT have launch control. I just bought it to test it out and all I got was wheelspin. You probably just had traction control on.

I find it a nice touch that some AI weave back and forth during the rolling start. I mean, the rolling starts themselves are still poorly done, but that's a nice touch 👍

I've just noticed this too.

Another thing that surprised me was when I was just watching a replay. The blades of grass trackside move as the cars blast past them.

Things that surprised me. That there's only 4hp and 10PP between a road going EVO and a WRC version. Is the PP system in this game completely whacko?

:D

I always do that in racing games. It actually makes me not feel alone to have a guy waving the flag now as I go under. It's funny how something so small really adds a lot (IMO).

Heres one that hasn't been mentioned yet. Next time youre racing the AI and there's a convertible car with its top down on the track, get behind him and honk. The driver will look back at you.

EDIT - Nooo! My .gif avatar isn't animated anymore :(

Your driver avatar in replay modes also checks his side mirrors or looks out his side windows, given appropriate circumstances. For example, if a faster car is drafting up behind you and they blow by beside you, your avatar will look at and track that car with their head. Likewise, if you subsequently pass that car through the corners and come upon a long straight with a heavy braking section, your avatar will also check his side mirror to keep tabs on the car you just passed, as if he was determining whether to attack the corner by taking the fast line or whether he should take a defensive line. Thought that was pretty cool.

GT5 also had that. You could see it in Eiger Nordwand.

A blast from the past: The S4 license test pre-race menu uses a menu song from GT2. I can't remember from where in that game it was from exactly, but it was instantly recognizable. Nice touch, PD 👍

I really like that they got the differentials on RWD car right finally.

Now the inner wheel with less weight on it spins first, and not the outside one like in GT5.

Not true, same thing at goodwood.. outside wheel left a big black line with yellow bird.:irked:

Not sure if this has been mentioned before!

Got to say I love the downshifts in the new BMW M4 coupe if you know what I mean 👍 Nice little addition!

Being able to go up 2 wheel sizes on the V12 Vantage....it looks like she's rolling 3.5 profile tires now, my word it looks sick!

I don't recall this in GT5, but the fans on the sidelines try to duck for cover when you crash into a barrier.

Some tracks which were pretty barren in GT5 have far better scenery. Laguna Seca is one such example I can think of. The scenery is far better. Grass, trees, backdrop. In GT5, it looked a few generations old compared to tracks like London or Madrid..

I just slid into the chicane barrier at Nurburgring GP/F and the big PD block barriers are moveable

I know that they "only" added 100 or so cars, but the removal of the UCD and having all the cars available really brings the full spectrum of cars in the game. Blows me away.:O:O:O
