thats because i use the right analog stick for my throttle/brake :) plus i use the road view to drive so i never notice

great racing guys...i cant wait till next week..
 
Happy to know my best friend SuperGTRacer has 0 points like me, I was asleep when the race was in progress and he failed hard at it.

Next week the battle with me and Super will be heated.
 
Just not sure what 'Mode 2/3' is. I'm pretty sure XD is stlylised smiley face.

When badger-mk2 says panning, I'm guessing he means - the camera 'moves' with the car, to keep the car crisp and the b/g to have a blur. There's a few like that, the one with mchid and GTP__apex next to each other is like that, but then the b/g was just a blank stone wall, so losing detail wasn't a concern.

Camera speed - I deliberately dropped camera speed to increase blur for a bunch of the shots. To enhance the speed sensation - lets face it, these Fiat 500s don't really go that fast.

Of the two choices, I prefer to have the car blurred, b/g crisp. The other way, having the car crisp and b/g blurred, you don't always get the car looking crisp totally, parts away from 'central mass' are blurred / messy. Probably that is realistic, but it detracts from the effect.

So I do it as shown, mostly.

Awesome pics mate. I dont have the patience for taking them.

I watched the reply and saw a picture moment towards the end, which I missed.. I know let me rewind :P It was the 3 in my group side my side blasting down the back straight. I moved over to let the faster guy through it was awesome. Ok I know how sad that sounds lol :(

I think I know the moment you mean. I remember seeing us 3 side by side and went to get my controller for a photo, but was too late!! I'm going to go over the replay and take some pics though.

There are three "panning modes" available for the in-game camera. You can change the mode by hitting triangle and going into the Camera Options. Panning mode 2 moves the camera at the same speed as the car so that the car is in focus but the background is blurred. Its pretty much the secret weapon of Photo Mode.
 
What's everyone's practice time on Autumn Ring Mini Reverse? I can run low .45's consistently and my fastest lap is .44.896. It should be a fun race on this track!
 
i got a 43.7xx i think ther mite be a little bit more to squeeze out tho. if you need any help with the setup just ask mate i gave it to asdfg11 and he got into the mid 44's once he got used to it

Just a question: with the restrictions of the first page, to which HP do you get?

Okay then, I did not know that. The camera moving with the car sounds really good, re: my earlier post with standard panning = not ideal.

Consistantly low 44s yesterday :) 44.100-44.500 style 👍 Couldnt crack a 43 to safe my life :( Now to try and get back into the 44s today lol
 
Except in case my train doesn't bring me back home Thursday (have to go to Paris), I'll be there.

Was able to perform consistent low 45s, but my setup wasn't yet ok.

One question: did I understand well that the standard gearbox (French "boîte de vitesse") may not be replaced by a race version?
 
Hi Guys,

This sounds like a great race series, just the kind of thing i was hoping for with GT5. I'd love to try and join in on thursday, i'm a bit late to it and won't have much time to practice, so you'll find me at the back lol.

I'm getting tired with pub rooms, I can never find anywhere to drive the cars I want to drive, so it's about time I tried some organised racing.
