The Manliest thing to do at a car meet.

Yes, let's see you take off pretty much the entire top of the engine, and then replace the head gasket in the environment that he did it in. :odd:

You'd think that anyone else would have to call a tow truck because they can't fix it on the spot. :dunce:

Changing a head gasket isn't that hard. Changing a head gasket AT A MEET....that's an achievement.

I like how he's missing bolts from each of his exhaust cam bearing caps. Now that's really something. They're even missing on alternating sides too. This video takes the term "ricer" to a whole new level.

He replaced it on the spot? Not in the video he didn't. Why stop filming at that point? :dunce:

^This.

All i see is some guy removing some bolts on a tatty looking car.

I see people repairing cars all the time at drift events. Difference between parked at a track event or parked at a meet?

Drifters must be super manly. Especially the ones who blow things up because their car is crappy.

I never understood the appeal of having a car that breaks down all the time, making you carry around extra parts that should never be breaking while cruising down the street (like head gaskets.) Saw it all the time in High School with the ricers (they still do it) and I see it now with amateur drifters (as stated above) that just don't bother to take care of their cars because its cool to break down and jot it down as "drift life yo."

When drifitng things often break regardless of you taking care of your car.
Ive seen fully built KAs blow up after a long day of sideways.

That Teggy looked like it broke sitting still.

LOL.

As I'm sure there are plenty other "fully built" KAs that don't break down after MULTIPLE drift events. Either way the point isn't whether or not a car can break down but rather the ones that break down specifically because their owners don't take care of them properly for what they use them for. Not to mention, they often don't drive them properly for what they're using the for either but that's a different story all together.

 yeah

After actually watching this video ( I was on mobile version before) I call bs.

As Speed Junkie pointed out, he's missing bolts on all of the cam caps, and then if you notice when he's taking the bolts out with the drill after loosening them, one of them is completely stripped out, and just spins in the hole when he tries to pull it out. The one on the other side is missing altogether. No way that bearing stays in there and the car runs like that. Also, he pulled the cams out without loosening the timing belt. I've tried that before, you basically have to rip the cams out of there and would easily score the bearings in that manner, because they really only fit in when going in perfectly straight, otherwise they catch on things and don't come out.

It didn't show when he pulled the cam and at the end you see the cam has been removed the timing belt is off.
