Don't like Cradle of Filth, never have. Not even before they became known.
Jimmy, don't get me wrong, but how can you say that?

If the birthday on your profile is anything to go by, you were 6 years old when Cradle of Filth launched their debut album. And they became known less than 4 years after that.

I like Cradle Of Filth, by the way. Or used to. I stopped listening to them after "Cruelty And The Beast".

It doesn't matter when they were made, I still have listened to close to all of their music. Wth your logic, it's like "how can you say anything about AC/DC? They were around years before you were born."

That's a pretty naive logic, sorry to say, and I'm sick of people using the age of people who comment about a band as a defense. They do record things, you know, and those recordings become available to people. People have ears and musical tastes. Why does give me no ability to make a comment on them?

First of all, calm down, ok?

It was a matter of english. I misunderstood what you wrote.

Normally when I write something like that, it means I followed a band or whatever from the beginning during its time. It's what normally happens.

I didn't assume the obvious and really thought your birthday was wrong, so don't say I'm using age as a defense. Actually, I was not defending myself from nothing, so please don't take that offended attitude on me.

And to end this discussion, yes: there are lots of kids out there who like to say they always knew something from the beginning just to show off (never said that was your case, though).

Well, I'm not really angry, just in a "ranting" mood. I didn't overly take offense to what you said, although I'm sick of getting that. Sorry if it came across as too direct.

Also, yes I am 16 years old. It's not wrong.

But I listen to bands from the 70. Actually, Led Zeppelin made music in the 60s, so in a way, I listen to music from the 60s, although I don't listen to much Led Zeppelin at all. But I do get very misunderstood. I get it a lot, where people think just because I mainly listen to Metal, I don't have a taste in other Music. I listen to a lot of different music, mostly Rock and Metal, though. I have knowledge (if I can say so myself) of a lot of Music from these genres, but that's because of the way I was brought up. I was raised on AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Guns 'n' Roses, Deep Purple, Kiss, etc.

I'm sorry if my previous post came across as angry towards you, as it wasn't intended to be. Today, I just seem to feel like getting a few points across.

All is good. :)

OK. No problem. 👍

I get a lot of that as well. I stopped bothering a long time ago. :)

And yes, I can see you have knowledge of various types of music. Keep it that way. And always show your point. ;)

Cheers. 👍

just as a slight aside, I saw MachineHead last week in Manchester. Awesome, as always. Not so keen on opening band Caliban, but middle band God Forbid were good

Machine Head are a perfect example of a band that are twice as better live as they are on CD. Recorded, I don't like them. I find them boring, soft, and a little dull. I have a Live CD of theirs too. I found it much better, a lot heavier, and more exciting than anything from their albums.

Wish I joined this thread when it started :(.

Go Slayer :D

*saw slayer live and they fricking kicked botty*

Btw, Chaos Ad is a good sepultura album if ya ask me :)

Yes. :D, in raining blood ofc :D

it was with out a doubt the best show I've ever seen. I can not describe the level of skill and talent slayer have, as it's so damn high.

Also should mention testament, kick as band if ya ask me :)

"Chaos AD" is the best way to start listening to Sepultura. If you like it, then go back and try "Beneath The Remains" as well.

When Roots came out I thought it was original and liked it, but to be honest, now I just find it a bit too basic for my taste. And there's too much of that "tribal" theme, imo.

It just didn't survived through time as well as Chaos AD did.

But it's a good album nonetheless. Give it a try as well.

Of course, everyone should agree Chaos A.D. is Sepultura's best work. Beneath the Remains is decent, but to be honest, I don't like much Sepultura other than Chaos A.D. I only really like Roots Bloody Roots off the Roots album, and only a couple off Beneath the Remains. Schizophrenic (I think) isn't that great, as that was when Max Cavalera left, and Sepultura died when Max left to me.

Sepultura died when Max left to me.
Yeah, but I think that even if he had continued in Sepultura, they wouldn't be that much better. Soulfly was a disappointment. 👎

I disagree. I like SoulFly. They aren't anything extraordinary, but I don't mind listening to them every once in a while. In fact, I'm going to put them on now.

What don't you like about SoulFly?

SoulFly cool. Anyone here listen to Killswitch Engage? they are awesome. i can't wait to get their albums. they will rule. almost forgot, anyone else listen to SOAD? I just got Steal This Album, that is my new favorite album. its awesome. I also just got Slipknot's Iowa. EVERYONE NEEDS THIS ALBUM. it rules.

I own the newest Killswitch Engage album, and I liked it for a bit, but it became old very quickly.

I didn't think any of Slipknots stuff was that great... I guess I'm really "selective" in the kinda Metalish kind of songs I like. The only good one to me is The Virus of Life. At the moment I'm diggin Finger Eleven (go figure :dopey: ) The three best ones are... Tip, Above and Drag you down. Evanescence even though it's not really metal is another one I like that never seems to die. Lie and Even in Death are good ones at the moment. Fear Factory is also a good one although I haven't been able to listen to their older stuff. 👍

I haven't listed to Slipknot in a while. I've been to busy listening to my new Albums that I bought on Dec. 28. Metallica, Megadeth, and Poison. Yeah, Metal and Rock.

I just got Iowa and Volume 3 this weekend. they rule.

Silverzone

I've seen the music video "Dig" on headbanger's ball. I also got the song on "Resident Evil The Soundtrack"

They are ok.

Chaos AD and Arise are Sepultura´s best works. Roots sucks. As we say here, "É pra Inglês ver".
