S&M is their best album.
S&M was awesome, especially -human and no leaf clover
I wouldn't say it was their best cd though
S&M is their best album.
...And Justice For Jason is best of all. It's basically a remix of the album with an actual bass track. The Shortest Straw =![]()
Never heard of this before you mentioning it...
And I must thank you - Harvester of Sorrow FTW !... +rep and a huge Thank You !...
And, in one of the more famous of Hetfield and Ulrich's controversies with bassist Jason Newsted, the album's production almost completely lacks identifiable bass (although a remixed version with bass added has been circulating around peer-to-peer networks). The standard explanation for this combines Newsted's absence from the mixing sessions (where he might have asserted his opinion) and the lingering issue of his "newness" within the band following the tragic death of Cliff Burton in September 1986.
As said by the band in their magazine SO WHAT!, they wish that they could re-mix the entire album because the drums and guitar overpower the bass completely. Some believe this is because Jason Newsted was new to the band and they wanted to frustrate him, though many, including Newsted himself, have stated this is due to the bass lines copying the rhythm guitar parts too closely.
In my opinion the Live ****: Binge & Purge 3CDs pack recorded in Mexico City is their best album.S&M is their best album.
While I admit it's nothing stellar - they tuned in dropped C when Hetfield's vocals are mostly in E (though he is a little off-key in a few places) - when you really listen to it, it does have its moments of brilliance. Those are limited to a few places throughout the album rather than the whole, but at least they've moved the tuning back up to E for the ninth album. Plus, they've got Rick Rubin producing.FlerbizkyI agree with anyone who calls St. Anger a load of dogpoo

I'd rather bang my head at the show and not the wall...^
That probably didn't make sense...
Awww... don't be so harsh... ceiling_fan likes good music... like !T.O.O.H.!
New Soilwork = win! 👍 👍
Have any of you seen the documentary "Metal - A Headbanger's Journey"?
It has some interesting interviews and some laughable moments (like Alice Cooper's comment on Norwegian Black Metal bands), although the director was more interested in showing himself head banging in concerts than anything. Still worth watching in my opinion.
SOILWORK FOR THE WIN!
What can I say? I <3 Soilwork.
Soilwork
Seeing them in December with Lamb Of God, Killswitch Engage, and Devil Driver. Can't wait, Soilwork is badass.
Killswitch Engage was surprisingly good live. Same show as DragonForce.
Deicide and Fear Factory sucked live.
