The crisis in the middle east. I don't know what that has to do with Nitrogen Oxide though.

Not a single person has accepted a race from me. Grr!

You have to dyno it. Heh. It sucks now because the power rating changes so much more than in the last game.

I got a 'Stang with a Supercharger and
NOS_LOGO_small.jpg

so, in general, the MNC administrators decided that it would be a good idea to **** up the game in every conceivable way?

hey....
what's the PR number? cuz i went to the dyno alot today,
my PR for today is ~ 240 for a starter's eclipse w/ some mods
is that ok? and... can someone PLEEEASE tell me how to set the spark plug so that it is optimum cuz i'm only @ 87% right now

I like the pink slip races. I've only lost 1 and that was my first. I just got challenged by this guy in a civic. I owned him and took his car that was worth 14,000$ and sold for 10,000$.

This game makes no sense.

1. A one point change drops your power obnoxiously low.

2. No matter what the part, if you install it and then uninstall it, the power doess not drop/increase as you would think. Now, granted that there is the matter of engine wear, but one assumes the horsepower is projected. So you install the Borla exhaust and gain 270 over your original 266 hp. But if you uninstall it you drop to 235 hp. Put it back on and gain 280 hp?

I know almost nothing about engines, but I do know that, from playing with one of those engine design programs, that rocker ratio and other things matter. Are players supposed to spend all day hunting for formulas and programs, such as race pro, to find out where their cars' power will go after an upgrade. Should they search the websites of the manufacturers of these parts? What's the ID number of the part the program uses?
Do all the manufacturers have websites? If they do, will they have the needed data or charge you for a catalog, or just make you wait on an e-mail response? Will you be spammed by Lunati?

The guys behind this got a head of themselves in my opinion. To any lay observer the engine physics do not make sense.

I may be completely wrong, but I don't think I am.

And adjusting means you must wait days to build up credits and cash, buy calenders and fuel, cruise and work. This for the seemingly inevitable result of a 65 % hp loss and the hope that putting the numbers as they were will give you back your hp. If that doesn't work, you do the uninstall/reinstall game. If your lucky, and I'm hoping this is the case, after you have the a/f in the green, adjusting the timing won't greatly effect the green balance, nor will, after hp is at a better number, if you're lucky, that adjusting the spark plug won't disrupt everything. The best strategy is to never touch the settings if you cash/creds are low. Just wait until you have a mega car or one you can fool around with.

Experiment: My hp was at 267. I have uninstalled all engine related parts. My hp is at 195

I will now reinstall all the parts in the order the inventory shows them, from top to bottom. My hp is 269. I will now take of one part. My hp is now 258. I will now put that part back on. My hp is now 290.

It's credible, to an extent... If you remove an ECU chip, it resets itself, just like in real life. my CRX was making 203 hp, at about 76% of its full potential. removed the ECU, reinstalled it, and i'm at 258, or 94% efficient. It's exagerated, you can't gain that much power in real life by plugging/unplugging the ECU, but it's true, in a way.

you mean remapping, right? i thought of that. but the exhaust?

i lost mine in a pink slip race. i'm just going to wait a week.

this game sucks amarous ape genitals.
Talentless is totally right; the only people that can actually play the game the programmers *cough* cantgetlaid *cough* intend are the 34-year-olds living in their mothers' basement in Minnesota, who take the time to hunt down all the proper ratios, formulas, and (un)install orders.
they could spend that time working for McDonald's and buy 11 stupid pencams.
