Okay. Oh well.

This is "The Official Off Topic GTA Thread", and I was just starting a conversation. Can I do that? :scared:
Yeah sorry dude, i retract my statement i didnt look at the name if this thread properly. Actually Jimmy im in agreeance with Blake, i think there should be no reason why SA can't be discussed in here due to the fact that this thread will probably be goin for a while after SA gets released. Then in theory once released :) SA will take over most of the Sub-Forum.

Yeah, I said afterward that it's okay. Just KM, Rancid and Spuds will have to be careful if replying or even entering in here. ;)

@R32GTST\m So you bold his name not mine?

@Jimmy They barely come in here anyway. Anyway, KM has even admitted to reading the SA thread!

Better, lol. Though I should have used a big "M" in your name and the proper "/"

I hope you don't notice all the quotes I've done from you that have the wrong /..lol

Haha.

I realise. Also, I know KM admitted. I forced it outta him (with some help of course). He's human. But I doubt KM will be going anywhere except for the Stickied threads and the Piracy thread. Spuds sticks to the Record Books. Rancid does, too, but I've seen him in a couple of others.

Anyway...

No problem. I have an Aunt in Australia, don't know where abouts but the bugs are bigger than the dogs England.
Well, I have a fair few relatives in England. Mostly in Nottingham. I've been to England and Scotland. I must say the only places in England I liked were London (also Soho) and Yorkshire.

Nottingham was a Jamaican drug-smuggling hole. I got food-poisoning from some Jamaicans' food. Also, where was the sun?!

I live near Sydney, so the only bugs here are illegal immigrants. The type we constantly get are smaller than Dogs. (no racism intended)

But, I went to a fair few places in England. I enjoyed the whole Touristy London thing. Nice change. My Dad and his family are all English. My Grandfather is from Scarborough, my Dad from Nottingham, and I can't remember the rest.

I also have a fair few Essex jokes.

I wasn't originally born in Essex, I was born in Walthamstow, East London. Thats a real ghetto. I used to jump onto the tube and head into the centre of London but I don't get the time anymore. I wouldn't mind going to Australia but I don't think I could handle the long flight.

Damn, I wish I could travel to Europe or Australia. I've only been to the US and Canada. Also, I've never been on a commercial airliner. :indiff:

couldnt think where else to post this, but could someone enlighten me as to how halo 2 is meant ot be anywhere near as good as san andreas? i agree that the graphics look astonishingly good, much better than SA's, but erm other than that, wont halo2 get a bit dull? i mean, shoot everything, except mabe your friends, oh drive this little buggy thing around, erm, after uve finished the 'missions' what is tere to do? is it just because of the whole online thing? personally i think the whole futuristic sci fi thing is just pathetic, why shoot kill someone with a green beam of erm, stuff, wearin a tin foil 'costume' , when u can recruit a few homies and unleash a few uzi clips into some punk's torso whilst rollin past in a lowrider wearin a suit listenin to dr dre?i fail to see personally how halo 2 is going to compete with gta after say a month.sure itll b great for a few weeks, whilst u complete the main story a few times n i dno, maybe get a few secret baking foil suits, but then? erm? if u wana lpay online, why not get counter strike?

There in completely different genres. People play Halo for its online play. I don't see how anyone can compare the two. It's like comparing Gran Turismo 4 to Doom 3.

I don't think he's was trying to compare the games, on gameplay i think he was trying to convey reasons for why each one will be popular, by describing atributes of ther gameplay. So he was bascically doing a popularity comparison.
I personally think SA will be the years best sellar, then id like to say Killzone will be second, above Halo2(cause im a bit of a PS2 patriot lol) but i don't think it will.

You should take into account that Halo 2 set a record for pre-sales with 1.5 million in the US. I'm not defending it or anything, it's just a fact.

I'm not really into Sci-fi games, they are quite dull and hard to get into. For me Halo won't even register on my wish list...ever! Apart from the fact I don't have an X-Box...

Yep, but there will be alot of Sci-Fi fans or FPS fans that like this game. Plus, for people that own Xbox and not PS2, this will be the best game they get this year, I'm guessing.

That's why it has big popularity.

The two player mode was pretty cool though, reminiscent of the old days of Goldeneye :D...also reminiscent of the new days of Counter-Strike, funny that :odd:

<snip incoherent rant>

Pfft.

All this boils down to is... "Why play one kind of game when I can play a different type of game I like better?"

I'm not going to enlighten you as to why someone would play Halo instead of Grand Theft Auto for 2 reasons.

Firstly, I play both so it's no an either/or situation.

Secondly, it would be a waste of my time. You don't like Halo and you just feel like ranting about. I doubt if you're interested in someone explaining to you why you might like it.

KM.

your extremely perceptive, i dont like halo, and i did feel like ranting about it, so i did.

i also dnt really like sci fi either, its just, i dno, i clearly dnt have the lexicon to portray my feelings. (also i dno if americans would understand what id mean if i said its kinda camp due to the whole differences in language. as the dont know what i mean when i say wanker either i think?).
But sorry on to my defence, was my rant really that incoherent ? or have you just heard that big word and found it compelling?

sounds like fighting talk, oops.

R32GTST/M
I love FPS but i just did'nt like HALO it was tooo sci fi.
I don't like Sci-Fi personally, and I'm sure the people that know me well, know I like my realism.

Yeah, that's the only reason I liked it. It was a bit of fun with Sam and all them. It was just for fun. I like Goldeneye and Counter-Strike much better.

letdown427 -- Well, it was incoherent. Even when you asked if it was incoherent, that was incoherent. This is nothing against you personally, but the way you post. If you desire any respect or generally people listening to you properly, I suggest you use proper grammar, or even proper spelling. I'm sure you don't have to be lazy, and type "dno" instead of "dunno", or even better: "don't know". I mean, abbreviations may be understandable to you, because you typed them, but it makes it frustrating to read.

Have the courtesy to type a little better, then people will listen to you properly.

Nothing against you, just a handy tip for ya. ;)

Some grammer would make it easier to understand. Wanker, I think everyone would know that :odd:
