This car also launched the MASSIVE Mustang aftermarket in the US. It SHOCKS me that PD has been to SEMA for years and continues to ignore the Huge late model Mustang aftermarket and the "Fox body" cars that helped launch it.

Go to any Drag strip, autocross, dirt track or open track event in the US and I bet you will see one or the very closely related 94-04 Mustangs there competing.

Why the 96 GT? They weren't very good stock. I always wondered why there wasn't a 99 to 04 Mustang GT since the body is already modeled for the '00R just change the front and rear bumpers change the wing, suspension and HP and boom done

Foxbodies are AWESOME! you can go up the street, buy one for next to NOTHING,throw a couple of bucks in it and BEAST your way through the comp.... My father bought one when I was born and we still to this day go in the garage, tinker with it, and talk about the good 'ole days (the late 80s-early 90s, GREAT period of American racing). I hold so much sentimental value for this car! If/when GT adds one, my virtual racing life will be complete.
