I was looking for this thread. I need your guys input on this one.



What I want to know is why I got penalized at all in this exchange, let alone twice. The first time he never even went off track, I was the one off track, and the second time.... What? He literally turned into me.

Anyone able to shed some light on this?
 
The system is backwards. Every time there is side contact it checks who gains a speed advantage.

First contact, the other car comes out slightly faster and cops 1 sec penalty
Second contact turned into shared blame while stating the reason wrong.
Third contact, the revenge side swipe, you come out ahead and get the penalty.

It's probably why you can punt people off without getting a penalty. The puntee gains a speed advantage so would get a penalty, yet they go off which should give you a penalty. 1-1 no decision. If the punter goes off as well, the puntee gets the penalty!
