@Ameer67 I have a proposal as to a new map location. The area around Coober Pedy seems big enough to have some chases, as well as to test off road capabilities of various vehicles.

Sorry for the blurry pic
I think that area even has a train track going right through it, which actually has a train that goes by every few minutes. Would be amazing to see a chase being ended with a train wrecking the racer.

Good news: I picked up a mic today

Bad news: I'm moving house this weekend so I may not be available for a session on Friday (Although since they generally start at 6PM GMT, this may not be the case)

Well I've been building several cars recently, both cop and racer.

My new S1 Patrol Car - BMW M2 Coupe

More posts to come later, just don't want a very large post with many pictures taking up space

So can we try the car show idea before we do cops on Saturday if there's a lobby. Or car show/cruise.

Fair enough (it also helps as I really won't be available this weekend anyway).

Well, after much time (and more to come) I think I have built up a sizable array of police cars. (not quite sure what I was thinking for some of them)

C
Dodge Challenger R/T - Good straight line car, pretty good grip for a 550hp muscle car on (very wide) stock compound tires
C - 1970 Challenger.png
Lamborghini Miura - really not sure what I was thinking (I will fix the police decal eventually)
C- Lamborghini Miura.png

B
2017 F150 - I have 6 F150s that I didn't buy and have no use for. Might as well make something of it
B - 2017 Ford F150.png

BMW M1 - Strong all round Interceptor, lacks a bit of cornering grip but nothing the handbrake won't solve...
B - BMW M1.png

FPV Pursuit - Seems like Ghosts are a bit overlooked. I've seen the white ford utes, I think it'll blend in.
B - FPV ute.png

Foxbody Mustang - was supposed to be a straight line car, then I built the M1. Now it's a noveltyB - SVT Mustang.png

A
Ferrari F355 - MR Ferraris handle nicely right? ideal for urban environments
A - Ferrari F355.png

FPV Falcon - 'Normal' Patrol car with an experimental livery
A - Ford Falcon.png

Audi RS4 - Other patrol car, nice AWD traction and an Audi V8 (can't go wrong really)
A - RS4.png

S1
ACR Viper - excellent downforce but lacking acceleration past 130mph due to full cornering downforce
S1 - ACR Viper.png

BMW M2 - "Patrol car" Is a wheelspinning sideways mentalist, will kill me
S1 - BMW M2.png

Corvette ZR1 - Highspeed Interceptor. Best kept on the freeway
S1 - Corvette ZR1.png

Lamborghini LM002 - 1300hp 200mph offroad truck. If the M2 doesn't kill me, this will
S1 - LM002.png

Sorry for very long post

So I was thinking, since there are 4 "districts" in Horizon's Australia, should we change the blue portion of the liveries based on the different districts? For example, Outback could have a light gold color instead of blue, Yarra Valley could have a green color instead of blue, etc.? Maybe even add "City Of Surfer's" and "Outback Ranger" text on the cars too? I can experiment with this if you fancy and post screens of the outcome afterwards. It might be a complex idea, but it could be awesome if it flows together how I imagine it will.

Don't do this please. Keep it at around .50. (I don't get why half the club did this, honestly.) Everything else looks clean. 👍

I see it as being way too complicated. You'll have to redo most of your cars, and then you are limited to what car you can choose unless you make 4 versions of each car for each region.

I've done something similar to what @ZDUPH suggested in that in that my Police units have had extra vinyls applied to them :

City Police Units have 'Patrol Unit'
Outback Police Units have 'Outback Patrol'
Highway Units have 'Highway Patrol'
Police Units that are based on Wagons (Such as the Audi RS4 Avant & Volvo V60 & 850R) have 'K9-Unit'

Other Vinyls i've used are :

Response Team / Speed Enforcement / Interceptor / Pursue & Protect (Police Motto) / Highways Agency Traffic Officer / Traffic Enforcement / Gang Unit / Correction Unit (Used On Vans) / Police Rescue (Used On SUVs) / Armed Response / Speed Camera Unit (Used On Vans) / Dog Unit / Proactive Team Interceptor / Incident Response Unit / SWAT Response (Used On Gurkha)

All the vinyls i use are on the storefront so if you wanted to, you could copy my idea.:)👍

Most of my Interceptors have Speed Enforcement written on them. Maybe that can distinguish the Interceptors apart from the rest of the units

I tend to have my vehicles as basic as possible to ensure usability in every game mode, without duplicates or modifications that I have to perform in every lobby that is different.

I also tend to have enough variation in my vehicles to easily distinguish them from everyone else's cars (i.e. black roof with unit number).

Spending a little bit more time in the decal editor to make all the lines line up really pays off, too. I usually stray away from using only a .50 line at any kind of angle when doing the sides because almost 90% of the time it won't follow the side crease, if the car has one. Flattened circles usually do the trick, even if it does mean 5 more minutes in the editor.

For when there's an open patrol, I made a Paramedic Van, in case EMS is requested. Whether an officer is knocked out of the chase due to a severe crash, or the suspect suffers a chase-ending takedown, simply request EMS, and I'll respond ASAP. The van itself is only D500, mainly due to realism, and has a top speed of roughly 115MPH. The Paramedic Van(s) hang out at the GCPD Headquarters until a call comes in, although you may randomly catch one responding to a call. If you're a racer and you troll the van while it's attempting to pass safely through traffic, expect the medic to radio police, so move over if you know what's good for you. If anyone else wants to be a paramedic, lemme know and I'll put the design on the storefront. I'll probably reserve the medic van position for when there are 6 or more people in the lobby. Does that sound alright to you @Ameer67?

Here's the van:

I guess we can try it... I really prefer having more cops on the ground though.

@ZDUPH - Stripes are facing the wrong way on your paramedic van mate.

Maybe we could use the Ambulance / Paramedic as a default role for when a Cop has had an pursuit ending crash or you can use the Ambulance / Paramedic role if you've had a pursuit ending crash and there is already someone as dispatcher (Drone Mode).

It also gives people a reason to keep / buy the Vans.

Let's try it in the next lobby. (We might get more than 8 players anyways.)
Sounds good. I don't know if I'll be able to make it on Saturday, as I work until 3:30PM EST. I think I'm off Sunday too. Not sure.

Due to our schools probably starts next week, this weekend might be the last time where I'm mostly free. Might able to only join on Friday's from that point on. (Because most of the lobby happens during the mid night).

Well, after reading what @ZDUPH suggested about having different colors for different areas, I went ahead and created some trial liveries to see both how'd it look and how much time it'd be for 4 extra liveries (4 because each festival is a different color and none of them are blue. Blue could be the default when there's zone overlap/absence, for example, the Jungle).

Below are spoilers of the standard livery + each custom location. I've also done a couple experimental liveries just 'cuz. I do not expect any of these (except the original) to be put into practice, but the idea was fun to play with.

On both the experimentals, I've just swapped the colors around.
White=Blue
Black=White

Note: I want to make it clear that this isn't a proposition and that I do not plan on using this scheme, either. It was just for fun and I thought I'd share the results with you guys.

Just stick with the one base livery and add extra words like "Highway Patrol", "Outback Patrol", "Speed Enforcement" etc where necessary. We don't need extra complications.
