Snowball I as you may know died before the show even started and for the last 14 seasons we were accustomed to Snowball II. However in Season 15 episode 'I Do'h Bot' Snowball II was hit by a car. Lisa then aquired anouther cat, Snowball III who in turn drowned in the goldfish tank. Then there was Coltrane who met his doom by falling out of the window. Finally the crazy cat lady gave Lisa one more cat which looked and acted like Snowball II had done. To save money on the cat bowl already labeled Snowball II the new cat stuck with that name.
