Said it before, being able to make liveries give the cars that personal touch that makes it feel a little less like a video game. Not to mention just designing them has the same effect as colouring a colouring book. It’s relaxing.

Oh, absolutely, I just pick a podcast and just relax figuring out how to make my ideas in the game. I might lose my job if GT8 lets us build car parts and cars themselves lol.

I just found something else that annoys me about this game - in the Showcase, you cant filter the liveries.

I would love it if you could filter them by likes, comments, wide body, ability to edit, etc...

I NEVER want to see liveries that I can't edit *, and only have one wide-bodied car, so in some cases, 80 to 90 percent of the liveries are irrelevant to me.

* and why, oh why, do people make liveries uneditable? I just don't get it. I can't modify them and repost them as if they were my creation. smh
 
The search function for decals in showcase either coming up with complete irrelevance because the attention seeker who uploaded the decal listed every car ever made like they're advertising a car on eBay, or it searching for anything that contains that search term but isn't an exact match. Tried doing a KA soda based livery but gave up and went for Welch's instead because it was a stupid amount of results of anything featuring the letters 'ka'. I'm also amazed at how many nationality searches come up with barely half a page, Jamaica is one that seems oddly barren.

If you are Michelangelo, would you allow the Mona Lisa to be edited?

Some livery artists do not want their work to be modified as such...

I'm not one of those artists and if I create and share a livery I always make it available to edit because someone may do a better go of it and make my work better...

All uneditable liveries become editable with a few simple steps. You just won't be able to share it after your edits, but whatever.
  1. In GT Auto, go to Load Style and apply the uneditable livery from Collection
  2. Go back and Save Style
  3. Return to Load Style and apply the now editable version from My items
  4. Wonder why anyone makes liveries uneditable
  5. Open Livery Editor and modify it as much as you like

Oddly enough, I think a lot of my more liked liveries are the ones I’ve set as cannot be edited? It’s weird.

I do wish you could apply “yes you can edit this and yes you can share your edits after but it gives credit to the original”.

I’ve made liveries for friends and I wish they could share their car on their page.

I know some people get extremely annoyed by that. Of people steal or copy. Maybe they see your livery and replicate it. But I gotta say, at the end of the day, it’s a video game. I think if somebody stole or copied a livery of mine I’d sort of be flattered they thought it was that good.

there's a profile that copies liveries from everybody at an impressive rate. I don't know, I don't like mine to be copied at a lower quality and get more likes than the originals I made with sometimes a huge effort and much more attention to detail. Some of them really take a long time to create and annoys me seeing someone just upload a poorer version of what I did a short while after.

Not imaginary liveries, I've collected lots of accurate replica liveries of real cars from the Le Mans and Nurburgring 24hr races.

That’s also just life haha. It is frustrating like running into hackers on COD. Not much you can do.

I could probably reach it too but I haven’t gotten much enjoyment out of racing the AI and the single player is literally just a bunch of different races, hardly feels like a career or campaign at all so with what shows 2600hrs on the game (also livery making too) I have yet to reach the cap and am nowhere near getting all the cars either. What a shame, I know if I enjoyed racing the AI (by myself) I’d have everything by now. Kind of says something about them game.
 
The AI in the PowerPack really gets me wound up, why does it fight so hard on the In and Out laps during practice and qualifying. You’re on a hot lap and they pun you or dive bomb you coming out of the pits. Not very intelligent.

I did three of the Weeklies this morning and I finally remembered to post it this time.... why in the F does the lead car get a 20 to 30 second lead ?

Can you imagine the chaos at the World Finals if Jose Cerrano got a 30 second lead over second place ?
