But you’re right. At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter. It just happens to be one of those little things that annoy me in GT7.

You know, matches this thread.
That’s true. It does match the trend. I guess different things annoy people at different levels haha. Hopefully they fix it for you. Bahaha we both know they don’t hardly address any annoyances. Lol

UPDATE: wrong thread! Where was I looking... Wanted to post in your upgraded cars.

I have to say, I dont think I've ever noticed this. I know i used to look up at the stars, but that was short lived, it went from oh wow to dont care just race.

Valid annoyance, but i would suspect thats just another way to keep processing down?

Im slightly annoyed at some moving fans in the bleachers etc and some are stills, but i totally understand why that is. Without looking at the spoiler, i was thinking hmmm they must have forgotten to write down what annoyed them because all i see is screenshots of gt7… and i was scrutinizing.

You only need to see them once and you'll see them forever, sorry. lol

I guess, and it could change thanks to their new AI-Powered rendering.

The main thing that annoys me is the lack of good sorting options. I would love to see PD implement custom categories to sort by. Then I could create one named "Engine Swaps," for example, and I would be able to keep track of my swapped cars.
This is huge. You wouldn't think it'd be that difficult to implement either?

I’d like to be able to sort by tunes, categories of cars, like i made my own trans am tunes. Or an all stock folder. Etc etc etc.

What annoys me currently are the weekly events, they’re so bad, it feels more of a chore to get through them, likely because they’re mostly (boring)old events you’ve already completed ages ago. The only reason to do them, is the credits tickets you get from them, unless it’s a roulette ticket, then you get screwed when they tease you with a worthwhile price, only to then give you the most useless price instead 99,99% of the time…

It is a chore list just to get prizes and roulette cards. It wouldn’t fix the game, but if they had a big earner race at every track (like sardegna, Tokyo, spa, forget the other one right now) then at least a person could change up the grind. You can earn a lot of money in this game but it’s always the most boring way possible. Driving alone (time trial, circuit experience) or running laps lapping AI at Sardegna. I do enjoy spa but I don’t have an hour sometimes. Nor do I want to repeat that one back to back when I do have time.

If it weren’t being able to race online with friends. I would have been completely done with this game 1-2 years ago. Maybe even sooner.

it's not about game per se but I don't get why tuning community is dead ok gt7 (remembering how many people were into it in 5 and 6 in here)

about game, Im on ps4 so only kinda annoying thing is that I can't get dlc but on another note, I get that my console is ancient

Another annoying thing about GT7 is the replay management menu in the setting options, never have a seen a more redundant and idiotic file menu screen, you cant sort replays by: filesize, date or anything other criteria....it is way too simplistic and needs refining for the next game version.

Also it never lets you allocate space to it, it has it own limitaitons to how much HDD space is used by the game.

Same goe s for the suit livery menu, it is way too simple and I cant hold more than one to five racing suits in my library to quick choose between when needed, liek we need a race submenu or even in the garage menu, for changing suits like tyres.

It's a massive time sink for the tuner and gives practically nothing in return. Building the car, tuning it, testing it, perhaps making a livery for it and writing the entire thing down in a properly presentable way, you're looking at 5+ hours easily. More for difficult cases or detailed liveries. Then a few people say anything about it, it's just not worth it when free time is limited to what's left after a full time office job and other necessities in life.

And to be brutally honest about it, those who know what they're doing on the track already tune their own cars, and a large part of the rest can't tell a quickly thrown together setup from one that took half a day to get just right.

Here’s one, they change physics and what not, rendering some of my tunes useless. The PP changes, I forget what was grouped with what. Mind you having ability to create our own garage folders would have solved that somewhat.

Another, If you have a livery or two for a car, sell the car, those liveries still count towards your total, so you could run short and find you have a livery on a million dollar car you never drive.

This game is riddled with oversights.

Custom categories/folders is something the game definitely needs. And more sorting options and the ability to reverse sorting. If you're at 1000+ cars the scrolling really gets annoying. I'm at the point where when I start the game and want to drive a stock Toyota or VW I rather buy one from BC instead of scrolling through my 1200 cars list.

I agree that more sorting options would be great but you are really exaggerating. Just sort by manufacturer and you only need to scroll through those cars and not through all 1200 of your cars! I have almost 1900 cars and it's not very hard for me to find the car that I want to use.

Edit: Just to clarify, click on the top left button "All" and chose "Select by Manufacturer" and select the one you want to use. If you use the sort button on the top right and chose manufacturer, you will get a list of all your cars.

Am I exaggerating? VW is at the bottom of the list and when you start the game it's not loading your cars in the background. So when you scroll all the way down it's also pretty laggy. Buying a Golf VII from BC is definitely faster than scrolling and selecting it. Why can't we just sort by manufacturer but reverse the order so VW is at the top? It's really not a big thing to ask for.

Wait, what? Where's the difference?

I think a big thing for me is, I have trans am tunes and other classes I’ve put together. Sometimes you’re online, you tweak one of them (saving as a different tune) and then it’s difficult to get back. I might forget which Camaro was my trans am tune. Suddenly it’s lost because I’m not looking at my 18 Camaros and trying to find the one I had tuned specifically.

How does this happen? It can be tricky to get your tune back to how you had it especially when the host is starting the next race.

What happens is all your tunes get jumbled. Now if I had a folder called trans am tunes. Doesn’t matter if I repaint or retune for other races, I know when I look in that folder that that Camaro was the one I have my “trans am tune” for.

You can sort by manufacturer. But it only covers so much. Custom folders is a must and with so many cars and the ability to tune a bunch differently, it’s crazy we don’t have the option.

I’ve contemplated going through my garage and just selling cars I rarely drive or thinning the herd to cars I enjoy most just because I get lost scrolling through and trying to remember what’s what.

A game that has 100 cars. Sure. Pretty easy. But just getting over 500 with a lot of doubles triples or quadruples is nuts. Haha

When you use the default "all" button and "select by manufacturer" you can go directly to and select VW and then only your VW cars will be listed.
If you use the "sort" button and select manufacturer, you do get a complete list of all your cars sorted A-Z by default. You CAN reverse this order to Z-A by clicking on the up/down arrows on manufacturer in the small ribbon that also has pp,category, etc.

Damn, did I really miss all this in 3+ years?😳
Thx, this will definitely make my GT7 life easier! And BC will sell a few cars less now😄

It’s still not ideal. To me it’s kind of like having folders within folders. Click open cars, now scroll to this folder, click open that, now sort by PP. etc.

Rather than open garage, have your fav custom folders at the top. I can’t see needed anymore than ten. Everything else can be sorted by PP, Weight, etc

Revisited the Power Pack and it’s annoying SOPHY 3.0 uses many cars that SOPHY 2.1 doesn’t. I’d love to use the FTO in my SOPHY Custom Races.

Did some races in my spare time, what little I have. It really grinds my gears that the AI seem to be looking in their rear view mirror when you are approaching. They move into your line down a straight, so you either get pinched off the track or you have to slow down to get by on the other side which they then begin to move into.

Going into a corner, a fair distance behind, I see it’s taking the inside, ideally it should exit going wide, I go to take the inside corner, it brakes!!! Sometimes I’ll run into it, if not I brake and decide to go wide instead and it moves to the outside after it was just braking.

It’s like the AI is magnetically drawn to my car. If that’s not bad enough, you start at the back with the AI almost half a lap ahead.

They should have called this game the passing game not the real driving simulator.

Some of the AI’s actions would get you a penalty in real life. I got a really good exit out of en rouge in the new Porsche. Wow I am flying, that other Porsche is on the left I’ll just blow past on the right since I’m hauling. As I get closer, suddenly no time to react it moves right in front of me.

They’re good at modelling cars and the physics seem good, livery making is fun, they don’t know how to make a racing game. Probably why I put most of my hours in with friends online. Every time I race single player I am reminded by the AI that the single player sucks.
