News from BronyCray:

June 26th: I got two little teaser bits for you, just to keep you interested. Chapter 14 needs a tweak and editing run before it's good, and I'm about 3k words into chapter 15.

Something I've always tried to do is make powerful chapter titles for each entry, and for the most part I'm proud of my work. "Justice" and "Hatred" were pretty weak, but "Rainbows and Butterflies was a real gem. I've thought for a long time about what to call chapter 14, but I think I've got it now. I offer it to you for dissection, I'm interested in what you'll make of it. Chapter 14 is named "Politeia". Or at least, that's how you would pronounce it if it was in English. If you catch this reference and put two and two together before the chapter is released, I will buy you a beer if I ever meet you in real life.

For chapter 15...well, I can't be too specific, but I can tell you one thing. I originally started this series because I had a philosophical question that I just couldn't get out of my head, and that question was what lead to to build this entire world around My Little Pony. The element of Loyalty was just too perfect of a Guinea Pig for this experiment, and in chapter 15 I finally pose this question to the audience. As always I'll keep my personal feelings out of the writing, but I'm excited to see how you guys react.

One of the main reasons why I hate acronyms is their ambiguity,so I don't know,maybe hoofs channel or something might be a better pun(if a pun is intended of course)

I already had an idea to fix that that I've already inserted. It actually changes it from a pun to a pun that whose cleverness increases the more you know about the early days of television.

I found another link with TBoTS,and its the billboard,I remember to spot something similar and it was that,but with Trixie instead of Twilight.(Just that,I'm a bit petty)

You guys are starting to freak me out with these similarities. Seriously.

Having said that,I think that the last thing I could say about it is that it should be split in maybe two or three episodes(that sounded confusing),the development of the concept in that amount of time is impressive,but as the development progresses it becomes to big to actually be approachable in one single episode(its about 20 pages now,after modifications it will probably make 25 or even 30 pages),fanfics have at top 10-15 pages(well the ones that I have read)and I think that this allow for the introduction of some of the jokes and puns that were skipped,and gives you more time to work in the ending.

I dunno if I could get another chapter out of it. The thought had crossed my mind, and I know where I would split it up:

But I abandoned the idea when I ended up slicing out so much of the Defrosting Ice Queen scene and some other bits. Other than that I'd need to check ED to see what the typical length of a multipart story chapter is.

Haven't quite been able to think the first one through all the way yet. As I understand it, it could mean any one of three things (a somewhat obvious reference, or two really obscure ones), and I need assess the implications each one could have on the story before I commit to which one makes more sense.

For the second one, though, I think he's saying:

Serious question: How should I have Trixie refer to herself? Her illeism, specifically.

What I currently have is Trixie speaking on three levels.
When she is totally full of herself, she speaks and thinks in the third person, and when she speaks she says "The Great and Powerful Trixie" rather than just "Trixie."
When she is talking normally, she speaks in the third person but thinks normally, and she only uses "Trixie"
When she is all up and bothered by something, she speaks in the first person.



I did this because I thought it was a subtle way to show her confidence level, but I don't want people to get confused by her changing speaking patterns.

Anyway, I was just trying out that 3D Open source demo, and I found out when you spawn multiple ponies, you control all of them, all the time, so I spawned an army, and made RD fly while in loops while picking up speed, and an entire field of ponies running in the opposite direction.
The result?

About 12 simultaneous sonic rain booms, which lead off into an equal amount of random rainbow colored loops and circles.

That's a hard one.

Personally I think that depends on the context,however Trixie(I watch the episode again)seems to be single minded,well,her behaviour(In the episode) she shows strong symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder(NPD),the problem with Trixie(in the episode)and NPD is the necessity of refer themselves in third person,however,there is one occasion in which she refers to herself in first person,the moment is when Trixie found herself on a position in which she has to accept the shame,an anti-thesis of NPD subjects(when she was in front of the Osa-minor and had to accept the facts),so I will put like this:

>The great and powerful Trixie: In front of crowds and when performing
>Trixie: In the backstage,in small but well known social circles
>I,Me, Myself: in extreme situations or realization situations.

For me,it deals more with the social situation in which she is subjected,however this depends more on how the portrait of Trixie is,which in itself depends more on the author,I got the feeling that what I just write was useless,however I think I might have tackle something important there.
