And then I realize how much pony fiction I've yet to read in my self-imposed exile. Five is the number of fics I can readily remember the titles of.

I really should do something about that; maybe I'll use all of your lists as a primer on what's trending in GTP and get to reading (after I'm out of CoffeeGrunt's imperialistic enslavement)

Dunno if you'll want to use me in the statistics what with my relative lack of readage, but here they are just in case:

1. Dangerous Business (natch)
2. Within and Without (even before I read the Ballad shout-outs in it)
3. The Vinyl Scratch Tapes (needs moar installments!)
4. Allegrezza (I hear the writer is a complete pond scald, but the story's fun)
5. Twice Shy (truly hilarious)

No age problems for me, although ID checks seem to be mandatory on certain nights. I always have to remind my friends to bring ID with them because they almost always forget to do so. Nowadays I challenge a friend of mine to drink Hennessy Cognac after one of my other friends mentioned the fact that it tasted like lighter fluid, so naturally I had to give it a try. Let's just say I enjoyed it more than my friend, even though that stuff tasted truly horrible.
And Kopparberg Strawberry and Lime is nice stuff, I blame one of my friends for introducing me to that as well. It seems that he recommends new kinds of cider to me, whereas I recommend spirits to him.

I hate spirits, though. Gotta be pretty-much smashed to try them. xD

Don't worry Coffee, Allegrezza is 6th on my list (which is good considering the number of fics I've read).

Just outside the list of fics you'd recommend? I'll have to pull out all the stops to nab 5th then. xD

Is Alicorn the one where Dash is Celestia's daughter? Because that really intrigued me.

I'll be honest, I thought the latest part was average. Like I said before, zombie fics aren't my cup of tea, but I'm intrigued to know how the story comes along.

I've noticed I'm no good at writing epic action sequences. They either come out bland, or incoherently jumbled.

I hate spirits, though. Gotta be pretty-much smashed to try them. xD

I ended up creating a drinking game some time last year. What me and my friends did was watch The Matrix, and every time someone says "Neo", you take a shot of Sambuca (or Vodka). We only made it 45 minutes before we conceded defeat, so instead we just played Red Dead Redemption all night while inebriated, and many laughs were had. We also tried it a few months later with Matrix Reloaded (with Finnish subtitles, don't ask me why). We only made it 30 minutes in before we gave up. That bloody Mouse guy just wouldn't stop saying Neo!


And a word of advice, don't try Absinthe. I made that mistake a couple of years ago and, well, my body really wasn't ready for that amount of alcohol.

I do love Tabluna Rasa. It's a great, light-hearted fic from pre-CANTERLOT ROYAL VOICE Luna.

Also, I love how Chapter Eleven of Mares 'n' Magic turned Toro from it's biggest fan into the object of all his hate. Ignoring that final chapter and the crappy apolopilogue, it was a very good fic.

Hmmm. Pirates can wait. A chapter or two of Alicorn, then Halo 2. Allegrezza's on it's way onto EDaily soon anyway. That'll keep 'em busy for now.

So, I've got a question for you. Care to read over my wonderful new prologue of Velocitas Eradico (Third rename FTW!) and see if you can spot any gaping plot holes that i should either address there, or keep in mind when the story gets running and the backstory gets filled in?

This Mommy Nearest fic has a really weird writing style. I'd almost say the sentences were stuttering, it's making it quite hard to follow.

Especially in the scene where Dash gets carried back by Big Mac, and Apple Bloom does stuff and AJ's scared and Dash is screaming and the whole thing's sorta fell into an incoherent lump for me. :|

Primarily due to every side-story writer bawling about how PH and PI got their own posts, and their 10,000000000000 word epics haven't. Because everyone knows length directly correlates to readability, and not the opposite.

No, I think you love it.

The only Fallout I like is Fallout 3. New Vegas didn't really appeal to me as much as I thought it would, and F:E will take me forever to read. I kinda wish that I had started reading F:E just after part 1 was uploaded, then I wouldn't be 41 chapter behind like I am right now. I still doubt that I will ever read it, but who knows.

Mommy Nearest was sorta kinda written as a joke. Alicorn, which was written by someone else, is when they story takes off.

I don't even care anymore. Heart of Gold does everything Of Mares and Magic did, except it has always been written better and I can almost guarantee that Nick Nack won't throw the entire 🤬 story out the window when he writes the last chapter.

I write everything in Notepad for reasons I don't quite understand. I've got a plenty fine working word processor, and I can just write everything directly to Google, but I really like Notepad. Plus, I get a good gauge of how long a chapter is from the file size. It's about two KB per page.

I use GDocs, it has actual pages to let me know how many pages it is...

Add a word counter, and it's all I ever need.

I've only tested some of them. The X2011 feels much more stable than the X2010, plus it's a riot to drive around Spa. The R33 Skyline is the best looking car though, it reminds me of the old LM GT-R from GT1. I have to say the Challenger is my favourite so far, although I can't stand the garish green paint job (HEMI Orange + black wheels is much better).
