Ponibooru scuttlebutt is that regular dragon aging and magical aging like in this episode aren't the same thing, which actually makes more sense than the alternative (because none of the other dragons in the show acted this way).

Also, that idea could be backed up by the fact both of those dragons had wings. Maybe wing size is tied to normal aging, where hoard size is just general body size.

Alright, I'll be reading a chapter or 2 of Arddun Lleuad in about 15 minutes.


I'd read more, but today took a bit more out of me than I expected.

I loved this chapter(3). The ending seemed the best so far at making me want to know what happens next.

And now that were getting to Mane 6 interaction, something that worried me from the beginning, it's great to see that it's being handled in a realistic way instead of "Oh hey look an alien let's be friends." Not that I expected that, it's just that it was always a feeling I couldn't shake until now.

I still didn't get the sleep I wanted last night, and all the activity today has left me a bit more worn than usual, so I don't really feel up for reading right now. But I'll probably read more tomorrow.

I just looked back at that chapter. Damn, it looks tiny compared to what I was reading last night, although almost any fanfic chapter I've read so far would look miniscule in comparison.

I was eager to find out what would happen when he finally came face to face with a pony, whether or not it was a member of the Mane Six. The altercation with Fluttershy kind of took me by surprise though, plus his actions when fleeing her house are brought up again later in the story.


And Praetor is pretty stolid at times, as well as being angry about what Chester did to Fluttershy (as mentioned at the end of Part 3), but he's not a bad character as you will find out later on.

Right, I planned on reading chapter 2 of the second story tonight, and that's exactly what I'm going to do now.

The way he was speaking to Fluttershy and trying to make her feel less nervous around him, and the way he was acting reasonably casual around those under his command made him sound like a nice pony.


He kind of reminds me of Major Edward Beck from Jericho. I'd post a clip of why, but unfortunately the only clip on YouTube is the one time he get's really, really pissed off. And even then he's still pretty nice about being stabbed in the back.

He seemed angry about what happened with Fluttershy, but he doesn't know the whole story, so it's a reasonable reaction. It's not like he declared war on it and issued a kill on sight order, or anything.

Yeah, he has a caring side. He doesn't try to show too much emotion though around other ponies, plus his duty as Praetor of the Guard means he's highly disciplined, but I actually think he's quite a cool character.

If Saturday is gonna be changed to Ponyday, but it's already Fry-day, what ever shall we do? Then what would Friday be? Saturday? But wait, there is only one Fry-day in the year (June 30 I think), so it's all good. Saturday shall now be known as Ponyday for us bronies. And I just noticed. Mayor Poopenmeyer spelled "Saturday" wrong.
