I found nixim mod on the g27 works just as well as CSP load cell. Also CSP load cell is very cheap. CSP is adjustable yet I found nixim mod hardness is just right to simulate brakes.
Real cars don't have load cells. Load cell is one way to simulate real brakes. Nixim mod does the same on G25/27 brakes. The Perfect Pedal comes closer to real life since it uses fluid pressure yet it a little expensive. So there are more than one way to simulate something.
Where is it stated Thrustmaster isn't using a load cell? I like to know more about how they will simulate brakes. I like the idea of a "realistic" brake mod is removable since they are some of us doesn't want the brakes to be as hard as real life; like when racing without shoes.
Thrustmaster T500 RS ‎@ Maurice: yes, you can screw it to a racing cockpit, you don't need the clamp. More information about the cockpits coming soon.

Delayed? No surprise, it's a GT5 licensed wheel after all.![]()
Yeah really what is wrong with plastic if it is well engineered and strong?
If I buy this with my CC I will have 3 years warranty in total, a plastic sprocket breaking within 3 years means I get a brand new one![]()
It's probably geared against a metal one. You do the math...
Now if you want to complain about something in a $600 wheel complain about the rubber belt which will have a limited life most likely shorter than the plastic gear but wait if we did that we would have to complain about Fanatec as well, oh dear.
Actually it is clearly visible in the picture that the only thing in contact with the gear is a rubber belt, I would suggest that a plastic gear might produce superior wear life. So who has ordered one?
Ive taken the plunge regardless of any reviews just no different really to when many of us were pre ordering a Fanatec wheel based on pictures and what was worse with those was paying up front many months in advance.
It is very likely it won't beat the Fanatec models in all regards but it could in some and with that FFB motor its going to feel unique.
Why preorder? Why not just wait for reviews? No reason to be 1st adopter and possibly burned on a fairly expensive piece of tech when there will be plenty of others and reviewers taking the plunge and putting out hands on and comparison reviews shortly after release.
Anyone else notice the line around the wheel grip? It looks like two moulded halfs glued together. I cannot see it in any of the other photos....

I think that's actually the line from between the 2 halves of the mold, and it's one single piece, however, it being there at all confirms that this is not a leather wheel, good catch there. I'm guessing it's some sort of rubberized plastic like the DFGT, or in fact most cars.
