Some initial impressions:
Why are you using "some people" and "somebody" when you're talking about one person? Just say the person's name instead of trying to be nice about it, and failing.

many people across several sites made the complaints. Why are you using "some people" and "somebody" when you're talking about one person? Just say the person's name instead of trying to be nice about it, and failing.
I think some of this is GT5 spring FFB. I just tried to race the X2010 at Monza with my G27 and the center FFB is so strong and tight I couldn't keep it straight. I was laughing hard because I was driving like I was drunk. In Gt5, different cars and tires has different center spring effect. Most of the race cars are tight (especially with racing tires) but at least controllable but X2010 is something else.- There is no dead spot in steering, but there is a small dead spot in terms of force feedback actuation. It feels a little weird going down a straight as you cross that threshold, it basically feels like the wheel's minimum possible force in the feedback is a bit higher than a perfect ideal, so when steering very slowly near center, when the feedback does engage, it feels like it engages a little more strongly than it should. I have no idea how good or bad this is since I don't have much basis for comparison.
Some initial impressions:
- The force feedback action is very strong, it feels almost like there is very little power steering compared to a real car. I like that feeling.
- For example, if throttle is at 0%, the game appears to measure 0% until I get to 5% on the pedal itself, then the game's meter will jump to 5%.
Is the wheel set to simulation and what is you FFB strength setting?
Could the pedal issue be due to calibration? There's a trick to calibrating. I think you need to press both pedals through their full travel whilst the wheel is calibrating when you start the game or during a race countdown. Someone more knowledgable can confirm what to do if you don't know.
Are you a drifter, have you tried?
Thanks for taking the time to provide you thoughts.![]()

So far I have only played with FFB = 10 and wheel = simulation in the options screen. Does changing those parameters in fact work for this wheel? I will try changing that, but the display in that particular options screen basically tells the player that those options are for the logitech wheels. I'll try it in any case.
I don't know about any tricks to calibrating and I'm not aware that you have to do anything special like what you describe to "calibrate." There is no verbiage like that in the documentation afaik. Maybe I'll have more information later.
G25 (All Logitech?) Users Need to Calibrate there Pedals.
The default setting for the g25 pedal set, does not use the full travel of the pedals. This leaves you with a very sensitive brake pedal. You can test this by looking at the brake indicator bar, it tops out with only a small amount of travel.
This can be remedied by fully pressing all pedals before you start a race, I usually do this as soon as GT5 has fully booted (at the first menu).
I have heard a lot of people complaining about this problem, I was especially surprised to hear "Inside Sim Racing" complain about how sensitive the pedals where when they tested the Logitech family of wheels, they obviously don't know about pedal calibration.
Please spread the word, as this makes the whole GT5 / G25 experience so much smoother.
I have searched to no avail. My question is will this T500RS fit on a Playseat WRC? I ask this due to already pre-ordering both these items.
If any of you have an answer for me I would greatly apreciate it. I would also like to know if this set-up will be a wobbly shaking mess while driving?
There has only been one review on the seat and it was very good. It however was with a different wheel. Thank ya, Vince
Ok thank you very much. It is not to late to change my order from Amazon. If there is a better cockpit I would switch to it. I am just not having any luck with finding something better.
Got my wheel from frys.com yesterday, it feels Im so much more in control of the cars vs. G25.
An easy way to tell if your pedals need to be calibrated is to start up Gt5 but do not touch the pedals. Start race or practice. Slowly press either pedal while watching Gt5 gas/brake gauge. If it suddenly jumps from 0% to 100% then you have to calibrate the pedals each time you load up GT5.
This is good to know. It's probably due to the fact T500Rs has better precision which allows it's ffb to be more accurate. The X1 with the T500RS and "The Force" set anywhere from 3 to 5 is almost a sublime driving experience. Even with my "wobbly cockpit" it is vastly better than the G25 experience.
I have a habit of pressing all three pedals down as the track loads each race. It is required only once when you start GT5 but with habit I do it everytime without thinking since I got my DFP for GT4P (G25 now) and never have the out of calibration problem.
Can you tell me when you ordered it (date/time)?
Thanks!
i am very sorry if i got anyone hyped up.
got home from work just now and GF told me to cancel my frys.com order.
i had ordered it from frys.com jan 6th the second i saw the link put up in this thread.
however as you can see i have just learned that the T500 RS set sitting next to the G25 playseat screaming Install me Install me lastnight, wasn't the set i ordred... i assumed it was, but it's a set that my GF picked up driving 100miles+ roundtrip from chino hills to frys in woodland hills.
she got annoyed enought about me going on and on every day after work about how my T500 RS or the fanatec GT2 CE order was once again not shipped... she when ahead calling every frys location in reach and picked it up at frys in woodland hills without telling me.
