You can have a PS2 game stored on any PS3. You just won't be able to play the game associated with it on most of them.

So if this feature is implemented, you'd only need a gamesave present for GT5 to read it. IF.

Ah ok,did not know this...:tup:thanks Famine 👍

spyrrari.

I would have thought Amar's update of

20 tracks with 60 layouts

meant 20 actual track locations, with 60 different configurations of all those, i.e. short/normal/reverse etc..?

I would admit that 20 'base' tracks seems a little low, but more then enough, especially if DLC is on the cards..

20 Tracks is way to low. Besides the 15 or so we know are in the game, what about WRC tracks? There would be atleast 5-10 just pure rally tracks. 20 is just a far to low of a number. 60 tracks with 20 extra variations or 20 complete original tracks sounds more reasonable.

More than enough!? That's your opinion alright...

I think I speak for quite a few on this forum, when I say 20 locations would be disapointing.

Just to add, I had no problem with learning most of the tracks in GT4. A few warm up laps and you're ready to go (except for la Sarthe and NĂĽrburgring of course).

It wouldnt be Gran Turismo without Grand Valley. You can add that to the list

And Trial Mountain

would 20 really be enough? i mean i am totally bored with the prolog tracks so how long before the other 14 tracks, whitch i probably grew tired of in gt3 and 4, got old.
accually i dont think we'll only have 20 locations, i think the 80 is much more likly.

Against AI yes. But to be competitive against real people... needs some serious practice.

edit: but I don't think 20 is enough...

20 tracks 60 layouts or 60 tracks 20 layouts or 60 tracks 20 to be releaved??
Which one? confused!

In the translated image says "60 or more 20 or more courses", that's 80 đź’ˇ

Well sure its 80 if you add the two numbers together and ignore the words inbetween them.

I say too much speculation going on but if their really is going to be 1000 cars then i imagine their will be atleast 80 courses. Otherwise the number of cars would majorly outweight the number of courses.

Also, i know its been stated but lets not forget. Nascar courses + WRC + All the other GT Courses.

80 doesnt seem at all unrealistic... wouldnt be surprised to see more

GT5 with 20 tracks? this will never happen! they kicked ass with 1000 cars and now im sure we get 80-100 tracks!

20 tracks would be very low for an GT series... If EA would do that and bring the rest with costing DLC then I would believe but PD is not EA and is not fixed on money only... they want satisfy their fans and dont want only their money...

Agreed.
But if we really get a track editor (a good one) i dont care. ;)

There is no way the Polyphony Digital would downgrade the number of tracks in GT5 compared to GT4, when they just upgraded the vehicle amount.

This might be nothing, but in regards to rain in GT5 - there is a track on the GT5P soundtrack called "When The Rains Come" by Satoshi Bandoh.

Maybe it's a hint of what is to come. :sly:

i saw real tracks on GT5p screen... 21 tracks seems on menu with weather conditions...These tracks will be in gt5 for sure!...Spa silverstone indianapolis brands hatch monza sonoma jerez hockenheim nurburg suzuka fuji magny cours motegi etc all of them on the GT5p menu Zolder right there too...
Watch out the GT academy event tracks next race in zolder.

How ever many tracks, they give us will be plenty to start with!! Don't forget we will be getting DLC, and more tracks and cars! That is if the WINDS are still correct!:)👍

Since there are new real tracks such as Daytona and Indianapolis, I think the old real tracks will be in as well.

Plus they have all the data for most tracks from GT4 anyway, it's not like they have to start over with each and every track.

However, fact still is that Amar did update his first post in this thread and states it as a fact that there will be 20 courses with 60 variations... we all know he knows a lot more then we do.

AFIK, the news page on the website didn't change. For the time it was published, it only said one thing. It was the only source of this info, even though there are now a number of different translations have been posted around the net.

It's been translated a number of different ways but the seemingly most accurate translations from people fluent in Japanese and English show "over 20 courses, with over 60 layouts", without any confusion about the meaning. BlackChamber did the first translation, which was posted on the Gtplanet news page for a while. He was spot on with almost everything, except the track numbers, which his native Japanese friend corrected for him. If you look, it's now been amended on the news page.

Just thought I'd REpost the facts, for anyone who's actually interested. Now feel free to jumble those two numbers around and add them together, or even multiply them to get whatever result you want : D
